The Monterey hotel stay

Great location to downtown Monterey. Staff was very friendly. The hotel was built in 1909, it kind of had a cool spooky feel to it. Would definitely stay again on my next visit. My only complaint is the valet price is high and you really need to valet. It didn’t feel safe to leave our car on the street.

The property is pretty old and you need to use public parking because the Monterey Hotel does not have a parking for guests.

so beautiful love that its dog friendly the breakfast place is super yummy only downside is the key system if you out your key near keys vape change phone etc it will demagnetize your card so i unfortunately had to go back upfront but the staff was beyond nice overall loved it and would stay again

Rent a suite with fire place for a romantic get away with boyfriend. Hotel called that morning and said there was sprinkler incident or something so switched us rooms but the room the switched us to was definitely an upgrade with no charge and covered our valet for switching which we appreciated! Walked to the theatre in 2 minutes to see a concert and so much restaurants in area. I loved this area will be staying here when we visit Monterey.

Hotel is historic so the rooms were on the smaller side. Staff was excellent and very personable. Location was perfect for what we wanted to do. Easy 5-10 min walk to bars, dining and activities. And the hotel was dog friendly!
