We were very happy with our stay at Travelodge Monterey, The registrar was friendly and proficient, The 3 Queen size beds and the pillows were comfortable. The Suite was clean.

Older facility that needed upgrading. No elevator. View in room opened to parking lot which made it unsafe to leave curtains open. Fitness area had six cardio machines that weren't all operable. Television in fitness room not working. Overpriced.

The hotel is old but seems to be kept up reasonably well. Not crazy about not getting cleaning and towels daily ( the hotel said it was “on demand” but several days were missed. For a cheap Fremont St place it’s okay but during car crazy week when it’s getting crazy money per night that does not work

Find somewhere else.

Wasnt the worst but definitely a close second. Guy during check in was kind of rude. There's a $100 deposit after paying the room in full that I was not told about before arriving. I booked online, paid in full and when I went to check in, he said there was a deposit. It takes a few business days to get back. Room was kind of nasty and looked like the baseboards were falling apart. The beds were squeaky. The roll crib looked nasty and rusty, the baby slept next to me. They had grate things on the front door so you can hear everything outside. The planes over the building, i get not their fault but the things on the front door doesn't help. The TV speaker didn't work but we didn't care, we came back after being gone all day and sonehow it's working and on but nothing else was touched. We never said anything because it didnt matter to us so how did they know? Nothing else was touched so housekeeping didnt come in. It was weird. Either way, wouldn't return and definitely don't recommend for those with kids.

DISGUSTING!!!! This is the worst motel ever. Pictures are deceptive.The room smells terrible, extremely dirty. Bathroom is even worse.The property is unkept, rusty, horrible . Checked into room, broke out in hives immediately. Owner refused to give a refund, even though we left right away. Avoid if you can!

Awesome customer service

Everything was great we checked in late like around 1 o'clock. The guy at the front desk was amazing. He let us know about how far the stores were and about all the celebrities that lived in the area.

The bedding was wet upon arrival. The bathroom was moldy, the room was dirty and smelled like mold. The second floor shower above the room leaked through the ceiling, Soaking our luggage.
Entire room was dirty. Walls, door knobs, furniture were all grimy.

Clean, comfortable and pleasant. Centrally located. Two separate incidences late at night with loud domestic squabbles. Not the hotel's fault I guess. Seemed to die down pretty quickly luckily. Monterey itself if beautiful. We hired electic bikes and rode along the coastal road - safe and easy. Highly recommend. Also an hour futher south on the most breathtaking coast. Also a must do. Great trip overall!
