Breakfast is the same for everyone because it’s home cooked and made that morning. It was delicious and they change it up daily. They also have some extra stuff in case you don’t always like certain items. Make them aware of dietary restrictions ahead of time. This is a small town so special supplies would be limited. The property is on a ridge so it’s crazy windy. Your room will either face the crazy wind or road.
We were very happy and satisfied with everything this place had to offer. The property is family owned and run and they strive to provide very high quality accommodations and service. Our room, as well as the view from the back (there is a look out platform) is spectacular looking over the canyon, and the resident white faced monkeys and white nosed coati add to the charm of the place. Breakfast was included, but seemed to be only a set menu. Shower had abundance of hot water. We would stay again if in the area.
Hotel is situated on the edge of a deep gorge ( waterfalls, killer views) and very close to Santa Elena. It is charming, spacious, exceedingly clean, very nicely appointed and very friendly. The chatelaine Nidia is a walking wikipedia of info about the area, what to do, where to go, and will make all your reservations. A charming, friendly lady with a great smile.
Highly recommended mostly because the owner was so nice and helpful. The location was also good: and it was clean and large, with a beautiful cliffside view out the back: but mainly the owner was extremely knowlegeable and nice; helpful in aranging activities and transport.
Beautiful location with a hidden gem of a bridge in the back of building. You can spot wildlife and waterfall. Great customer service as well.

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service
Disliked: Amenities
We had booked a standard double room in the older, main hotel building and were a little shocked at how small the room was. Maybe fine if you are travelling light and only staying 1 or 2 nights. Fortunately the hotel owner was able to upgrade us to a more comfortable, spacious and modern room in their newer building. There really are no other other facilities outside of the hotel so keep yourself busy at the parks and tours
Paper thin walls and all rooms open to the reception desk. You can hear people talking and telephone calls at the desk and people in the adjacent rooms. Pretty small area all together.
This is aeauriful little hotel perched at the ridge of a gorgeous valley. The staff is helpful and kind. The room has beautiful woodwork and tile, and is comfortable and very clean. The breakfast is delicious, and they prepared it for us early on the day we had an early tour. We loved the capuchin monkeys and coalt that hang out in the back. We highly recommend staying here.
The room is spacious and clean and the bed is comfortable. You should see a great view from the back of the hotel. The best is the owner! She is super friendly and informative as well as lovely. She gave me a map including restaurant, shops, gas statioin, and cloud forest. She gave me an advice on the cloud forest trip, too. She helped me to use kitchen tools to peel mangos and papaya. I'll definitely come again.
Warm and kind staff, good for family, good breakfast.

Nice place, conveniently located to most of Santa Elena and most of the Monte Verde area. Room was clean and comfortable. Price seemed appropriate for the area. Staff was friendly and helpful.
Very good. The Mountain View was awesome. Some insects in the room but it was expected due to room entrance being outside. Our room was very spacious and comfortable
Extremely comfortable little hotel, with outstanding service. Breakfast every day is made to order; if you’re lucky, the local monkeys will stop by and say hello! WiFi is good. Shower pressure is good, but the fan is quite loud and shower curtain doesn’t keep all the water in the shower. No A/C in the rooms but a powerful fan is provided. 10 min walk to Santa Elena town and all restaurants and supermarket.
Wonderful stay at this hotel. We saw monkeys and coatis from the outside platform, which overlooks a lush valley and two waterfalls. Nidia and her staff were very gracious hosts. Nidia was able to help me book multiple excursion. Breakfast each morning was excellent. The only thing I’d recommend is to bring some ear plugs if you booked a basic room because they are next to the kitchen and road - with ear plugs you’ll be fine. I’d definitely stay here again. Great value for an excellent hotel.
Great location and hospitality. The owner stayed up late to let us in. Great breakfast. The only issue was the loud wind which is out of their control.
