Close to downtown. But the worse part for me is the footsteps between 12 midnight and 3pm for each of the 3 nights I stayed The last night there were 2 young men literally milling about outside my door and talking (whispering but still audible!!) They were there well past 3am and I had to tell them to get back to their room as I need to get some sleep!! If you are a light sleeper, this is not for you!!!!!

This property is in a unique district of Montreal and I was looking for low budget - I certainly did get that. Probably the least glamorous hotel I have been to since my university days. Safe, clean(ish), aging with unique "fixes" to some of the issues.

It was quiet and clean and the location was unbeatable, however it is definitely more of a hostel than a hotel, with communal bathroom/shower, and also no fridge in the rooms for cold drinks/water.

The hotel was conveniently located near a metro station. Overall the room was clean, except for the floor! I could feel bits of grit through my socks, and they ended up being filthy from walking on the floor. This was strange, because the bathroom and the rest of the room were very clean.

The photos on the website were very deceiving from the actual hotel. Disappointed when arrived and to find out the stairwell was very dirty and discouraging to enter to the mail lobby. The room was in an adjoining building. The room itself was ok.
