The bathroom was very dirty. I had to wear flip flops to shower. The floor was slimy and hair on the shower walls. In room dining was inconvenient as the phone did not work. I had to go into the restaurant to order. Not the restaurant I wanted as my first choice was unresponsive. When I informed the front desk of the broken phone they acted like they couldn’t be bothered offering to send maintenance instead of just offering to take my food order.

This hotel is beautiful. The rooms are spacious, and well-appointed. The staff are very professional, yet friendly. They are also very helpful. Its location is ideal. Most places we wanted to go were within a 10 minute walk. So, we did not need to use Uber much. I highly recommend this hotel.

2nd time guest at Place D'Armes-very over hotel with an old vintage look. Room was average, when I mentioned to front desk at check in that my washroom wasn't cleaned throughly they did send someone to clean it while I was away . Staff were friendly. Also upon checkout I was told that there was possibly a room charge for dining in the hotel. I never dined in the hotel as I was attending a work conference. It was immediately corrected luckily, however still puzzled as to how an error like that can be made?

The location was excellent since we had an event at the Basilica. The food was also excellent at the "701" restaurant. The downside was the fact that when we entered the room was very hot and stuffy, and the windows don't open. The room had a an 18' ceiling, so getting the volume of air to cool down took a good part of the night. In general, now being able to open windows, even a bit, is a negative for us.

Had a nice corner room with three windows. Water was turned off from 7-10pm our first night by the city of Montreal but they were prepared and restaurants remained open. Loud in morning due to construction outside. Friendly staff and great location.

I loved the location; easy to walk around the city. The metro was close. The Concierge was excellent; he spoke Spanish and helped us out with great enthusiasm. The other Concierge who spoke French could not be bothered. The rest of staff was great and the property lovely. I just wish housekeeping would wash the floors at least once during the stay

Biggest bed we’ve ever seen, wonderful bathroom, comfortable couch. Only negative was many of the tv channels listed in their guide weren’t available.

Great hotel overall. One block from the Notre Dame Basilica. Great location in the old city. The staff was great. The two restaurants (Bras 701 KYO Japanese & Brasserie 701) were great... food / service were good. Highly recommend this in the old city.
