Friendly and prompt reception. Nice, clean, comfortable rooms. A bit of a walk from our room to the lobby - it’s a large hotel with a few elevators. Great for one night. Good breakfast across the street - the restaurant on site wasn’t open yet.

First, I would like to say the staff were very kind and helpful. They definitely made my stay delightful from the beginning to the end. Unfortunately, the room that we stayed at was very outdated. We stayed in their standard room with a queen sized bed, but it felt like I was staying in a motel. The light fixtures by the bed were flickering and making weird sounds when on, the bathroom was very cramped, the walls were such a plain off white colour, that together with the ugly carpet, made the room look even more cheap. I guess be careful when booking your room since some pictures for the standard rooms don't show the whole room. It's sucks because the price difference between different rooms aren't even significant. If I knew what it would looked like, I would have understood, but I paid under the assumption that all standard rooms would be similar to the photos advertised. Overall, the hotel is very beautiful and the staff were extraordinary. I just wish, as customers, we shouldn't have to worry if our room will look different from the photos you provide.

The sauna was a great bonus on the cheap stay, wasn't a far drive from downtown and old Montreal. If you are in the market for a quiet hotel on the lower price side and aren't opposed to driving to get to the attractions in the city I would go with ruby foo's.
