I found that the hotel had an overwhelming odour that I could not stomach. The carpet was sticky in the lobby and there was nowhere to escape the odour. The room felt unkempt and I had to go to a different hotel. I was a woman travelling alone and I did not feel safe

the building was good. the room was decent. there was this black dust that appeared out of nowhere on the sink. the area around the parking garage was dirty and had rats everywhere.

Great stay
We had such a wonderful trip, Hotel St Denis has very helpful staff, and clean comfortable rooms. We were happy to still have an air conditioner in our window as the radiators were very hot in the room. We would definitely stay here again as the location was great for getting around. Thank you!!

My room did not have an air conditioner. The safety bar for the door was missing half so it was not usable and the deadbolt did not align with the hole proper to engage it.

A great choice of property, you only sleep in the room so it didn’t really matter how modern it was, as long as the bed was comfy, the location was excellent for everything, we walked everywhere and caught the hop on hop off bus which stopped a few blocks away, restaurants were a 5 minute walk with a great choice. The lady on the desk was super helpful, providing us with a map and restaurant recommendations and the best way to get around. If you want something that is a great price with lots of atmosphere without all of the bells and whistles this is the place. An easy walk from the bus station and central for everything. Oldie but goodie.
Clean but not fancy. Could hear neighbors bathing and flushing. Huge room, great location, very friendly staff. We would go back.

Delighted with our Stay
Loved our stay, this is a charming alternative to more modern era hotels. Building is interesting, check out the basement. Great location! Lovely little room with character, as promised, exactly as depicted in pic. Comfortable king bed and pillows, was able to turn the A/C fan on for white noise to sleep. Place was quiet the whole time (inside and outside building). Building is interesting and a nice mix of old and new; all conveniences are provided (Keurig machine in room; filtered water machine(free), microwave, vending machine, coffee machine ($1) all downstairs). Parking is just around the corner, not an issue once you understand where to go ($15). Staff were genuinely kind and helpful. I recommend and would definitely return!
