Disappointed by Recent Stay – This Hotel Has Really Changed I recently stayed at this hotel but unfortunately, it was a disappointing experience. Here’s why: 1. Room Door Gap and Noise: A half-inch gap under the door let in drafts and outside noise, making it hard to sleep, especially on a windy night. 2. Temperature and Heating Unit Noise: The room temperature was impossible to control due to the door gap, and the heating unit was loud. Despite a technician’s help, it continued to make an annoying plastic-like sound. 3. Bathroom Ventilation: No fan in the bathroom made showers uncomfortable due to trapped steam and humidity. 4. Mattress Quality: The mattress was too soft, sinking and uncomfortable, unlike the firm mattresses I’m used to in hotels here. 5. Conference Crowds and Delays: A large conference made accessing elevators and amenities very slow. 6. Room Change Offer: The staff offered me a different room, but it had the same issues with noise and heating. This hotel used to stand for classic comfort and quality in the ’90s and early 2000s, but sadly, it’s not the same. Thanks to the staff for trying to help, but after positive stays in places like Istanbul, Winnipeg, Dubai & many other locations, I won’t be choosing Marriott & Sheraton again.

My daughter and I stayed at the Le Centre Sheraton while attending a concert at the Bell Center. It was only one block away, making it convenient before and after the show. The room was clean, and the bathroom and shower were charming. My only criticism would be in the parking garage. Directions to the elevators were not marked clearly on the walls, and somehow, we ended up ascending an employee stairwell, using an emergency release button to exit outside to the street. Other than that, the staff was helpful, and the hotel was beautiful. We will stay there again.
