when i had called and asked what time the pool was closed they said “10pm” when i had arrived and checked in and walked down to the pool area i was suprised to see a sign on the door “pool and hottub closed due to a boiler issue” this was something they could have stated when i asked about it

I was traveling with a toddler and had a lot of stuff to bring in from the vehicle. There was 2 people working the check-in counter; both very polite. There was no luggage carts. They said they'd go retrieve one and I sat outside waiting for 15 minutes. They didn't go to look for it. When I asked, they said there was 2 of them on site but "maybe someone kept it in their room". Firstly, unless you check in after midnight and leave before 6am and you're keeping one of two luggage carts a hotel has in your room - you're an a$$hole. I feel it's incumbent upon the check-in staff to take note of who takes the carts and if they're not returned, go collect them or send someone to. As a result, I came back through Moosomin 5 days later and chose a different hotel even though the pool at the Canalta was better - which doesn't matter to me, but does to my little kid

The swimming pool and hot tub were great. We were babysitting our grand daughter and the pool was wonderful for tiring a 3 year old out. She wanted eggies for breakfast and they were excellent. Ate at the Red Barn a short walk from our hotel.

It was a comfortable stay though there was a birthday party with lots of children using the pool and hot tub. We noticed there was a plastic cup and food floating in the hot tub therefore did not use it. Otherwise it was overall a nice stay.
