This place is everything you look for while staying away from home - with one exception - you are given a choice for breakfast which is brought to your room in the morning - the breakfast was very disappointing - I was extremely surprised as to how all other things were actually perfect and that one thing could be so bad. Holiday Inn serves better breakfast. They need to correct that and then it would be a perfect place to stay

The hotel was modern but surrounded by building works. Also our room was quite dirty, carpet need a thorough clean. Stuff in freezer from previous people. You order breakfast from the night before, 2nd morning no boiled eggs?? But no replacement item??

Dawn was at the front desk for our check in & checkout. And, she was the most pleasant, courteous, professional, delight...to come face to face with at the Bask Hotel. In spite of the construction and the unfinished landscape, the hotel was quiet and eloquent. This was my daughter and I first quality time vacation. We can't wait to go back!! Our balcony room was perfect to view the fireworks. The cost was reasonably worth it. Especially, since it was a holiday weekend.

First and last stay

I was very disappointed with my first stay at this hotel after several recommendations. I reserved a king room with city view but upon arrival at approximately 515 was told my room wasn't ready. The room I was given was on the 4th floor and upon getting on that floor there was a horrible smell in the hallway like old trash. The room itself was disappointingly small no view other than the roof. It was a multiple day stay but with no trash bags or anything to replace the used ones. The TV was miniscule. Later in my stay I found out what the smell was. Bags of trash left in the hallway by housekeeping. The staff was lovely but I will not stay here again.

Quick stay at the Bask

Every aspect of this property was fabulous. Kent at the front desk was so helpful and kind from the start. He walked us through the breakfast choices (they deliver a complimentary meal to your room!) and helped us pick a dinner spot. There is always coffee available which was nice and they bring out cookies is the afternoon (soft and chewy!) I made a mistake in my booking, thought I booked a room with a balcony. Called down and spoke to Shannon, who was so sweet and very quickly set me up with another room that had a balcony. I don’t usually ask to make changes, I don’t want to be a bother, but she was so generous and accommodating, I never felt like one. The room itself was large, clean and had a nice view of the water. We really enjoyed our stay there and most of it was because of the staff.

Fabulous

Our stay was wonderful. The people were very friendly and helpful and the room was great. Very clean and a good size. Nice shower and bathroom. The view was beautiful overlooking the waterway and onto the island.

Needs a pool or hot tub it’s boring. There really was nothing to do there. Also there was a lot of construction around that killed the mood. There were no movie channels which was a bummer. The breakfast wasn’t even worth ordering even though free. There was hardly any food on the breakfast sandwich. Staff was very pleasant loved the rooms very spacious which was a very big plus

Beautiful king suite with flaws

Limited staff, front desk man folding towels, lady dropped gatorade powder in elevator he handed her broom and dustpan, out of almost everything for breakfast and forgot one of our sandwiches. Surrounded by construction
