We stayed here 2 years ago and were disappointed in the changes this time. Our room was less clean and not in the best condition. For example, the alarm clock was broken, and the toilet paper holder was loose which caused the roll to fall off multiple times. There were also fewer amenities compared to the last time we visited (no breakfast option, no free popcorn or hot chocolate for guests)

This hotel is at the beginning stages of renovation. The hotel was almost empty during our stay. The restaurant and bar were closed. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The staff was friendly and pleasant. This hotel is very pet friendly!

We have never stayed here before so this was totally booked spontaneously just to get away for the weekend. The hotel was AMAZING, very clean and very well put together. The room was very spacious, bed very comfortable. We have already booked to go back before the beginning of next school year with the kids this time around

Room could have been cleaned bettee

We always enjoy our stay at Hotel Alice, unfortunately this time our room wasn't clean, the king size bed for sure needs a new mattress and food was left in the refrigerator from the last guest. Toilet paper wasn't full, shower had hair in it, toilet had unrine stains on the lid as well. We didn't complain as the hotel was full, we were so tired we just kept the room for our stay.

Pet costs more to stay there than it cost us.

The hotel did not clearly advertise the price for keeping our pet in the room with us. I was surprised to learn that it actually cost more than it did for the two of us. They should have given our dog his own room at that price. And the woman working at the check-in desk was miserable and lacking any friendliness.

Great value, but some little issues...

Love the building, rooms are roomy and nice. Got a great room price so whatever negatives it was still a great value. Staff was wonderful -- 5 stars! Bill (name?)at night desk has a lot of local knowledge and was happy to share information; friendly and great conversationalist. Kenn (name? he works at breakfast/bar area on weekends) was also great -- a lot of local knowledge, great conversationalist, willing to share good local info. I can overlook at lot with staff this friendly and helpful! BUT: 1. bed (rm 312; bed near window) was hard and "springy" -- bad/worn out mattress (I hear upgrades are coming). 2. could not get hot water at the bathroom sink -- had to get it from the shower. 3. In-room coffee carafe/pot missing so couldn't make in-room coffee. no biggie, since I found complimentary coffee in the lobby.

Beautiful bar, but it was never open. My bathroom sink was dirty when i checked in, but staff was quick to clean it. Do not go to breakfast there, $10 for oatmeal and a Del Monte fruit cup is excessive. The Alice has always been my favorite, but it wasnt the same experience this time.

The mattress is made to expedite your visit to a spinal surgeon. Lowest grade mattress I've ever experienced in any hotel. The overall quality of the room is a solid 3/10 for a 3 star hotel.
