Very clean room, excellent friendly staff

We booked Lalla Soulika as a last minute stay due to unforeseen circumstances. Upon arrival, we were warmly greeted by staff as well as the two house dogs! The grounds and building were extremely well maintained, thoughtfully and beautifully decorated and felt magical. This theme continued into our room - we were generously upgraded into a large apartment which felt instantly calming. As we had been on the go and moving locations every one or two days for our Europe trip, this apartment forced us to slow down and enjoy the beautiful space. The staff members at Lalla Soulika were all kind, helpful and polite. We thoroughly enjoyed eating the included breakfast on the terrace overlooking Tangier port. However, our favourite part was playing with the two puppies who were adorable and ready to welcome you as soon as you opened any door. Thank you so much Lalla Soulika - we loved our stay and will definitely rebook when we find ourselves in Tangier again.

I stayed for 7 nights in the Prestige Suite, which was very spacious and offered a fantastic view. The room stated sleeps 4 however it was just 1 double bed and a sofa. The hotel’s interior is modern, stylish, and generally very clean, although there are a few areas that could benefit from repairs or redecoration. The spa was not open during my stay, but the swimming pool is a good size, well maintained, and clean. Breakfast was generous with a good selection, and all of the staff were polite, friendly, and helpful throughout our stay. The location is excellent, just a few minutes’ walk from the Grand Socco and the beach. Taxis are also readily available outside the hotel, making it easy to get around Tangier. On the downside, the air conditioning could be more powerful, especially during the hotter days, and some room fridges were not working. However, the staff were happy to store items in the hotel kitchen fridge when needed. The corridors and public areas were kept clean, and we found that if you tipped the room attendant, they went the extra mile to provide exceptional service and ensure the room was well looked after. Overall, we had a very enjoyable stay. The spacious rooms, excellent location, friendly staff.

This six room boutique Hotel was simply incredible. It is important to know that you are in the Medina, the Old City. It is chaotic, raw, busy and not easy to navigate in terms of accessing the property. That said if you are looking to experience the “old city”, this property will be your luxurious retreat in the middle of it all. Let me start with the wonderful staff that took care of us while we were there. Jawad and Abdullah (and other staff) treated us with a level of service and kindness that I have not experienced at another hotel, regardless of property name, price or location. They literally treated us like we were staying in their home!! Everyone mentions the breakfast. They are correct; it is excellent - Moroccan food experience, service, view, and setting are all superb. We were there for 3 breakfasts, which worked fine. If there longer, I might want something different. That said if the staff were asked to change it up, I have no doubts that they would. This really was a special property. The art work adorning the walls is like a gallery, the style is world class, and each room has a themed design that even the website description does not do justice to. Even a frequent traveller to higher end hotels will be wowed by their stay. If you are traveling to Tangier, I would highly recommend this property.
