This was the worse place I ever stayed in my life. We paid over $200 a night and it was the most filthiest dirtiest place… Could not even get another room on the first floor due to us being in handicap was very disappointed. Will also post this on yelp. They did offer a place on the second floor, but due to My Sister’s bad knees we were not able to take it, but that was a little cleaner…. I could not even get my money back because I booked it through you guys. disappointed. They did try to send an Girl to clean, but the place is just so filthy from not keeping up maintenance and not having a clean on a regular basis. I have 28 pictures if you need more unbelievable!!!!! I forgot to tell you the carpet was filthy too had to leave shoes… could not walk on carpet outside the room was stains of gum and cobwebs all over in the front.

I booked this hotel to attend my daughter’s graduation. Since her time in Camden I have stayed at many local hotels when we visit. I booked this because it was a HYATT and didn’t check the reviews. I prepaid. After I booked I looked at the reviews as we have had some sketchy hotels recently. I was horrified to see some of the reviews and was panicked. I couldn’t cancel. So on way we went. From Canada. I was pleasantly surprised. Property was wonderful, room spotless. 2 bedroom suite. I called to ask where to get ice and FD said in our freezer. I explained there was no ice maker in the freezer. They then gave me 4 bags of ice for our stay. (Not sure where the ice maker went but things happen) I was very grateful. Towels great, bed comfortable great breakfast. Not sure what the bad reviews are for we will definitely book here again when we come back to NJ.

Issue with early check-in request

The only issue we had was regarding our early check-in request. We requested early check-in (three times with three different phone calls) and seemed to get a different story with each phone call. The first on-site person I spoke to claimed there were no guarantees, but he "noted the reservation" with the request (it was the day before we arrived). The second on-site person I called mentioned that there was no note on the reservation, so he "noted the reservation" and said I would get a text message as soon as the room was ready (it was early in the morning the day of our check-in, he felt confident our room would be ready at least a little early, but I never received any text messages or automatic updates). My third request for an early check-in was upon arrival, just one hour before check-in (we arrived 2:00pm for the 3:00pm check-in). Once again, I was told there was an automated early check-in system, but our reservation was not "in line". Our reservation was added once again (or so I was told) and we waited in the lobby until 2:45pm, when our early check-in was finally ready (15 mins early). We were verbally notified, but still never received any text messages or automated messages. Throughout the process, all we wanted was a realistic idea of the possibility of an early check-in, but felt as though we were mislead and our requests were never properly recorded, despite our efforts.

It was nice to find a hotel with two bedrooms. However, once we got there our room was NOT ready. Check in is at 3pm and our room wasnt ready until almost 7pm. The front desk manager could have cared less, not his problem. Acted like we also would not get a double bedroom like we had booked (but we did). I called as we ran to walmart to wait and asked if they had a restaurant or bar and he stated yes but it was non-operational. I have a 5 year old and its time to start winding down for the evening and we cant even check into our room. This is friday evening. Sunday I called to see if we could get some clean towels and nope. None available. What hotel doesnt have extra towels to give when your literally staying 4 days? Every single time we walked into our room it smelled as if someone just smoked the biggest blunt ever, but there were signs everywhere about not smoking-anything. Just an all around crappy hotel. I have no idea how it got the ratings it did. Oh and the manager said he would discount our room from the late check in but when we left he was nowhere to be found and I left my name and number and never received a call from him. He never had any intentions to make things right.

Our three night stay at Hyatt House was excellent. The suite was spacious, clean and quiet. The staff was very professional and check-in was quick and easy. The property is within a short distance to restaurants and stores. It is a short and relatively easy drive in to Philadelphia.

PLEASE READ BEFORE BOOKING A ROOM HERE.

I read the good reviews and saw the reasonable rates, so I took a chance and booked a week at this hotel. It was the worst lodging experience of my life. The rooms and amenities are nice enough. The problem is that this place contains a basketball court in the center courtyard. I don't know who thought this was a good idea, but kids (and young men who look like they really should be at work or school) are constantly bouncing basketballs throughout the day, and the hotel does NOTHING about it. On April 26, I heard the sound of basketballs dribbling from 8:48 AM until 9:09 PM. If you want one iota of rest or peace of mind, avoid this place at all costs. You have been warned.

We arrived to the property around 6 PM on Friday and at the front desk while checking in we were never informed that our room was downgraded because of an issue with the original room being booked. We had 4 adults staying with us and they placed us in a 1 bedroom with a bathroom in the only sleeping area. Our friends that were joining us checked in around 9 PM and they were the only ones staying in there room and only required one bed and were placed in a TWO BEDROOM that we were told was unavailable. They were told their room was upgraded because they no longer had one bedrooms available. We went back to the front desk and complained since we were a larger party and required the larger room and was told it wasn’t available. The place isn’t terrible but their communication with their guests is terrible. They charged us $30 more than what I agreed to on Expedia and also charged $220 deposit when it stated $100 in the original email. Overall the rooms aren’t worth the price and it needs a lot of maintenance and work. Stay at the Hyatt Place if you must stay anywhere, they seemed much nicer and accommodating to their guests.
