By no means was this a 5 star property (maybe a 3+) but if you need a bed for one night that is clean and comfortable and not terribly expensive, this is your place. And they even have a real coffee maker! (bring your own filters and good coffee).

Overall our stay was fine. The room we ended up in while old was clean and the bed was comfortable. When we checked into our first room and the refrigerator was full of leftovers from another guest but they immediately moved us to another room when I brought it to their attention. It advertises free breakfast but it only consisted of bagels and bread for toast. Location was fine. Our only other con was the lighting outside is not good making it difficult to see when entering the property after dark.

This is a well located place to stay but I don’t think I’d stay here again. The room wasn’t especially clean, the kitchen was not well stocked with basic kitchen supplies, we only had about 8 squares of toilet paper, and the tissue boxes all had empty boxes of tissue in them.

The only decent thing about the Anaco Bay Inn is the location and room size The rest is severely outdated and needs a total renovation. The carpet in our room had holes in it and could use a good vacuuming around the edges. The sheets I’m sure were washed but stained along with the mattress cover, but the bed itself was OK. We had an old purple couch in the room that looked like it was left in the rain and was dirt stained and under the cushions was disgusting…..there was no way we would even think about sitting on it. The little kitchen was OK, but we found potato chips behind the microwave which suggests minimal cleaning. The continental breakfast was terrible, with only 3 small bagels, 4 thawed Eggo waffles, yogurt and cold coffee. The people that came in, looked around and left disgusted saying there was more to eat in a vending machine. There are better places to stay in the area and I would suggest staying some where else.

The sheets were dirty, we got new ones and then the mattress cover was dirty. We took that off and it looked like a crime scene on the mattress. Don't hope for wifi as it hardly works. TV has a lot of channels but unfortunately they are infomercials. They had an excuse for everything including telling us that the previous tenant's washed there own linen...not. You have been warned and I am 30 years in mattress and hospitality industry, don't stay here.

I knew this wasn’t going to be a modern, up to date hotel, and expected the bad decor. Unfortunately, it 1000% lived up to that and then some. What I didn’t expect, was that the bed itself was 40+ years old and so worn out that it dipped like a horrid, spring filled crater in the middle. It was a recipe for agonizing back pain that not even the young and invincible could escape after sleeping on that dinosoar. The sofa looked & felt like it too was born in the 80s. It sank halfway down every time we sat on it, and you could literally feel how long it’s been since the upholstery had been cleaned. It was not a pleasant feeling. As a matter of fact, not one fixture in the hotel room looked like it had been updated since 1987 at best. And it wasn’t done well back then either. It’s one thing to have tacky or outdated decor, and another thing entirely to have the basic things you rely on when staying at a hotel to be in such bad condition. A decent mattress that doesn’t hurt should be a given, and the upholstered surfaces should be sanitary. Anaco Bay utterly failed in this respect. Less dire but equally unsavory issues were the lack of any sense of basic hospitality or communication. The manager seemed like he couldn’t have cared less, and failed to mention simple things like what the wifi password was and the fact that there would be no housekeeping without requesting it from the front desk that was never manned. For $175 a night, you would expect more than this.

beds are 100 years old, can feels every spring. the entire place is straight out of the 70s. sheets were dirty, old coffe cups in our room. would have rather slept on a mcdonalds floor
