The place to stay if you want to see Pompeii. Hotel is next door to the entrance of the site. Owner is super helpful and his dog is friendly. Great restaurant across the street.

The location is amazing as the hotel is a 5 minute walk from the train station, and next to the entrance to the Pompeii Archeological site. The staff at reception and throughout the hotel were extraordinarily kind and friendly. The hotel is older so if you are looking for something contemporary this is not it, but it was filled with charm. The balcony of my room overlooked the archeological site. This was off season so the pace was calm and easy. I would definitely stay again.

The greatest advantage is its location. It is sooo close to Pompeii's entrance. The staff are wonderful - very accommodating and genuinely friendly. Each room has a small balcony with table and chairs - great for warm weather but my door didn't seal well and there are campgrounds nearby which burn wood. If you have a sensitive nose, double check your balcony door.

It is right next to Pompeii. It takes 3 mins to walk up the hill to reach the entrance of the park. The staff are great and respond to requests right away. They printed a train schedule for me (as I traveled to Naples and Herculaneum while I was here). The front desk man helped me with my bags, walking me all the way to my room and offered to alert the kitchen to wait for me to come to dinner as I had arrived late in the day.

It was close to the Pompei ruins, we did not need to walk far to the gate. We did not have hot water at all. I did not have a shower all 4 days I stayed there.

The town of Pompei is very run down. Most of the hotels we noticed in the town are also very run down. However, we think hotel Victoria should be considered as a “5 stars” hotel according to Pompei’s standard. After going through the bumpy roads and run down neighborhoods of Pompei at 10pm at night, the first sight of Hotel Victoria lobby caught us by surprise. It was pretty nice. This hotel is perfect for visiting pompei. Our room was updated and had a nice balcony. The only thing I didn't like was there was no hot water for a shower. The water was luke warm at most, which would have been a problem if we stayed more than one night Other than that is was perfect.
