Excellent location

This hotel is literally across the street from the Porta Marina entrance to Pompeii Archeological site. They were kind enough to allow luggage storage after we checked out so we could visit the site. The breakfast in the morning was delicious and got us ready for a day of exploring!

We booked the Zeus hotel......and got B&B Diomede, a 10 min walk from Zeus. So, none of the pictures or descriptions applied. We did get the same breakfast at Zeus. The room was incredibly small and bed was hard as a rock. We got the old switch-a-roo. Booked one place and got another, less desirable place. Do not book the Zues hotel without making sure where they will put you.

This is right by a train station and one of the entrances to the ancient Pompeii entrances. Very clean. I loved the flooring. It all seemed new but somehow 70’s. The staff was very friendly. Breakfast was the most limited of our European vacation, but it was sufficient.
The hall…didn’t take one of the room🙃

We really enjoyed our stay! It is very convenient to the major sites. Our favorite staff member was Francesca, who works in the breakfast buffet. She makes great coffee and was very friendly and helpful.

It would be impossible to beat the location of this hotel. The Hotel Zeus is right next to the train station and almost directly across from the entry gate to the Pompeii archaeological site. The neighborhood was quiet. Even though it's right next to the train station we did not hear trains in our room. It was an easy walk to the downtown area. We found the food at the on-site restaurant to be very good. The room was spotless and everything functioned very very well. The beds were comfortable. And the small terrace was enjoyable.

If you are going to explore Pompeii this is a great place to stay. The entrance is a one minute walk and it’s not the entrance most groups use so you can get in quickly and start exploring the far end of the site for a couple of hours before the tour groups begin to reach you! Really made the time there more enjoyable. Hotel was clean - looked recently renovated, helpful staff. Breakfast was included at the restaurant across the street and there was lots of parking. We took the train - make sure you book the right train to the station at the hotel otherwise it’s an expensive taxi ride from the other station- lesson learned. Not a lot of dining options nearby but enough for a decent meal. Stored luggage at hotel while exploring Pompeii.

Very handy for the ruins. Overall good value but could be excellant with a couple of changes. The bathroom grouting is black in places and could easily be solved with some bleach! Also there seems to be 2 confusing systems going on in the bar/restaurant. If you want a hot drink with the included breakfast you cant order it from a waiter on the verandah - you have to join a haphazard queue inside - some info in the room about this would be good. Sometimes very difficult to get attention inside where the coffee is made. Breakfast pretty basic with paper cups instead of china or glass. Didnt suit me but ok for someone that just wants quantity. You cant even toast the bread! It only warms sandwiches.... However the room was very nice. A bit noisy sometimes as the sound tends to echo through the building especially when a motor bike parks beneath the windows.
