Great Pit-Stop
Stayed for a quick pit-stop before heading up into the mountains to ski resort. Easy to locate, free parking on square outside, close to bus / train station and restaurants. Staff welcoming and helpful. Rooms were a reasonable size, comfortable but slightly dated.

Wonderful hotel
Love this little hotel. We had a family suite, loads of space for the 4 of us. Comfortable beds, a seating area and great coffee/tea making options. We opted to dine in the restaurant downstairs, we had done so before and the food was lovely. Last night, wasn't nearly as good, but I think it was due to being short staffed. It is a good size restaurant and quite unique, it was very busy with only two servers so things were very slow. All in all though, I highly recommend it. Our room was faultless and more than we expected. The food was disappointing, but having eaten here before I would do so again because I know, that also, can be amazing.

Standards at this hotel have fallen; The restaurant was a disppointmant. Quality of buffet breakfast very mediocre, for instance the scrambled eggs were partly egg powder.

Very well situated in the centre of Moutiers and convenient for shops and other restaurants.The staff were friendly and helpful. Our accommodation in a suite was spacious and comfortable and reasonably priced.. Good breakfast buffet and a nice dinner.

Good Location in Centre of Town.
The reception was straightforward though not particularly welcoming (1 person seemed to be receptionist AND head waiter in the busy restaurant attached to the hotel). I'd had no reply to my email inquiring about hotel parking and initially we had to park near but not at the hotel. We had a superior room and although there was probably a little too much furniture for the size of room, it was very well furnished; the bed was extremely comfortable and the bathroom was heavenly. The restaurant was busy and although it seemed a little more expensive than some of the other places in town we looked at, it had a nice atmosphere and the food was well cooked and delicious. Check out was again, straightforward though not particularly friendly. There are probably friendlier hotels in Moutiers but I'd go back to the Auberge de Savoie for the bathrooms alone!

Very nice hotel
Very nice hotel in the centre of town. Room was very nice and clean with a modern bathroom, only minus was the hard mattress which could do with a topper. Staff friendly but service was erratic even though it was quiet. Decent restaurant with a nice little bar, food is good but noted that drinks are overpriced. Not sure how they'd cope when busy. We've stayed in a few hotels in Moutiers and this is the best, although to be honest there's not much to beat. It is in the centre so there was a little traffic noise at night and parking is extra, as is breakfast. Would happily stay again.

The promotional material created very high expectations which weren't quite fulfilled. The hotel is clean, the staff welcoming but we were left feeling a little disappointed. Moutiers is fine for an overnight, but we wouldn't recommend it as a final destination.

Central and a commanding presence
It's not hard to find the Auberge du Savoie, front and centre on the main square, the Place de la Liberte with the best restaurant in town including an outside cafe on the Place. Fortunately, the hotel lives up to its commanding position with a charming Savoyard ambience, a very good restaurant and clean and comfortable rooms. We spent two very enjoyable nights in the hotel visiting the region of the Trois Vallees, Chamonix and Mont Blanc.

Good value overall
Hotel is handily located a few mins walk from the Train station. Rooms are comfortable, though could do with a bit of a fix up in some areas on the cosmetic front. Stayed in a room at the back and there was no noise at all. Also the Restaurant in the hotel is very good, as is the bar area. There were two problems - 1) The duvet cover is an absolute roaster. One could probably stay warm under the duvet in a cabin in Siberia. 2) Having had a less than great sleep due to the duvet, tried to get an early bus out. However the door to reception was locked and not open until 8:00 AM. Luckily after some constant banging on the door, was able to checkout.

The accommodation is very good, the staff are friendly, the location is ideal for Alpine trips and the food is very good and reasonably priced. I certainly will; stay there again. In fact I was sorry that the stay was not longer.

We reserved a family suite (for 4 persons) and it would have been fine has the weather not been so hot. Moûtiers is apparently the hottest place in the area and there was a heatwave (canicule) so we were very uncomfortable in that room. However the staff was very accommodating and sympathetic and allowed us to switch to one of the large upstairs 5th floor suites that has more than one window and so was able to get better air flow and cool down in the night. The upstairs suit (Le Tremplin) was a very comfortable room and we enjoyed the rest of our stay and slept well. We really appreciated how the staff handled our requests.
