In the heart of everything. Personnel makes you feel special. Nice and quiet with resort like feel in the heart of the city. Nice balcony but no seating could have been an opportunity. Yoga instructor at 8 am lacked enthusiasm and could have shown more passion for her craft. Gym did say silence but too many people were talking in their phone while exercising and should be informed of the policy.

The Taj in Mumbai with their outstanding service is by far the best there is. We would like to recognize Deepali who truly exemplifies what amazing customer service is about. She was attentive to our every request and very professional. Also Nimonica from the Shamiana provided exemplary service everyday we dined there. These two ladies deserve special recognition . Having been in the service industry myself and managed customer service employees I do believe these employees contribute towards a culture of excellence in the hotel industry. Well done Deepali, Nimonica and the employees of the Taj Mumbai.

The Tag Mahal is a Beautiful Hotel

We stayed for just two nights before beginning a train tour from Mumbai to Delhi. Our room was clean, spacious, and comfortable. The food in the restaurants and bars was very good, though I thought overpriced. The hotel is in a very congested part of the city and there are not a lot of convenient dining options nearby, so we found we had to eat at the hotel, no matter the price. I had written about one small item in another review and it seemed every hotel staffer immediately set to make it right. I received apologies from at least six different staff members. Everyone I encountered seemed to know I was the guest who had written the review. They delivered a complimentary bottle of wine to our room. At checkout, they removed a lunch charge for two from our bill. They give us a special parting gift as we were leaving. And, I got the last apology call from a hotel manager a few hours after we had boarded our train. And, my concern really wasn’t that big a deal. Any organization can make a mistake. A quality organization knows how to fix it quickly and thoroughly.

Brilliant hotel rich in culture & history!

Amazing hotel from start to end! Even though we were there for just a day, the entire experience was great. A landmark hotel with rich culture and history, and the service and interactions with the staff were brilliant throughout. On the day of check-out we used the hotel as our base as our flight was very late in the evening and the hotel were very accommodating for us to make the most of the day and remain fresh. We kept our luggage with the hotel team, relaxed in the lobby and bar. We even asked if we could freshen up and because we were guests they allowed us to use the gym and shower facilities which was very important for us before heading to the airport for a 10 hours flight, especially as we had spent the whole day in the humidity of Mumbai outdoors.

It really is an iconic property with amazing service. It is expensive in terms of india but if you want some indulgence it is worth it. We stayed in the tower and felt fully connected to the property.

My recent stay at the Taj Mahal Tower Hotel in Mumbai was one of the most disappointing hotel experiences I’ve ever had. Despite its reputation, the hotel fell far short of expectations, and I left feeling frustrated and let down. The biggest issue was the constant construction noise that lasted until 4 AM. I was shocked that a luxury hotel would allow such disruptive noise to continue through the night. Despite being assured of a quiet stay, the relentless drilling, banging, and machinery sounds made it impossible to sleep. When I complained, the staff offered little more than a half-hearted apology, and no alternative solutions were provided. For the price I paid, this was completely unacceptable. To make matters worse, the hotel **failed to honor the amenities I had paid for**, including a **free room category upgrade**. I was told at check-in that no upgrades were available due to high occupancy, yet I later found out that other guests had received upgrades. This felt like a blatant disregard for what I had been promised and paid for. The hotel was also overcrowded and chaotic. The lobby and common areas were packed with guests, and there was no room to sit or relax. The breakfast area was equally crowded, with long waits for tables and a rushed, impersonal service. It felt more like a busy train station than a luxury hotel. Overall, my stay at the Taj Mahal Tower Hotel was a huge letdown. I can’t imagine a more perfect stay. We showed up in the early evening and were greeted by Arpit who showed us what professional courtesy and perfect hospitality are all about. Rather than checking in at the desk where the evening crowds (and noise) were starting to gather, he personally escorted us up to our room and we did the check-in process there. From that point on, he checked in on us at various locations around the hotel throughout our stay to ensure that things were going well. They were! He was able to obtain a reservation at the much touted (and much deserved) Loya restaurant. We had a fabulous experience there. It started by being greeted by the Manager, Swarang, who ensured that everything went perfectly. It did! We enjoyed the best Indian meal we’ve ever had. It was all gorgeously presented and wonderfully prepared. She went above and beyond in honor of a combined celebration of our Anniversary, my wife’s birthday and Valentine’s Day by presenting us with a house photographer, some beautiful sweets and a bouquet of roses with a lovely personal message. Our amazing, young server, Sneha, completely overwhelmed us with her menu knowledge and impeccable service. With her amazing attitude and desire to please, she could easily become a manager very, very soon. We were also able to join in on a tour of the hotel hosted by a retired 40-year employee that cooked there. Amazing history and architecture highlights.
