Location, swimming pools (open till 10.30 pm!) were great! Staff allowed using the facilities after checking out. Breakfast was filling. Not the best yoghurts/donuts/bagels/juices, but at least the grits, omelets, sausages, fruit were OK.

Great place for the family!

Dayton House is our go to hotel for our family vacations. This is our second year staying, and the staff is always friendly, the location is close enough to the boardwalk and has so many options within walking distance for food, mini golf, shopping, ect. The room has fresh paint and was mostly clean. There were some baby food pieces on the floor when we first got there, and our kiddo isn’t a baby anymore. The lazy river is fun, and having multiple pool options across the property is awesome. And you can’t forget the beach! It’s not too crowded in that area which is very nice. I feel safe on the property as well. Overall would recommend!!

While the noise from the construction was super loud, that was out of the hotels control. However, The room was not as described. The bathroom was so small there was barely enough room to close the door. The oceanfront view I paid for was a view of construction. The hallway area was old and dirty. Someone spilled something in the hallway and it was still there 2 days later. My sons room that I paid for had the hurricane sliding door that was off track and he had to pick it up to open it...it was heavy. I tried to check in early and the room was not available, understandable. They said they would text me when it was available and never did. Try to call to see if it was available and no answer. Went back at 430 and they said well its after 4 it has to be available. It wasn't just me as I was waiting in line to check out the person in front of me said they called two days before to say their sink wasn't draining and no one ever came to fix it.

There was construction that wasn’t disclosed upon booking. Air conditioner in the room didn’t work, ice machines didn’t work, couldn’t get in contact with staff when needed. Unable to locate anything on the premises, elevators only worked sometimes in the suites building. Smell of urine throughout the halls.

We really enjoyed our stay at Dayton house in Myrtle beach. There’s tons to do in a walkable distance. Beach access was amazing. Hotel was clean and staff was great. I’d definitely recommend it to anyone headed to Myrtle beach!

While the staff were very personable and took care of the issues I experienced there were several areas of concern. They computer system was down and there was great confusion in where my ten guests (6 rooms) were to be assigned even though I called several times confirming the information since I would not be there when they checked in. We had to rearrange rooms late at night, waking everyone up. The door cards stopped working several times and had to be reprogrammed making people not able to get up the elevator or into their rooms and guests having to walk a good distance to get them reprogrammed. The staff was very personable and handled everything graciously. The construction between buildings was significant and there was constant activity with large machines and such which were right outside the balconies. It also limited beach access and movement between amenities. Otherwise, we enjoyed the amenities such as pool, hot tubs, sunning area and beachfront. Will definitely try again after the major construction project is finished with.
