Disappointing Dining Experience

The hotel is clean, and the staff are friendly. However, I was disappointed with the food. For the price, I was expecting something that tasted more like home-cooked meals, but unfortunately, it was just like typical hotel food. Even the coffee wasn’t complimentary.

Great staff, great suites, just the cleanliness of the carpets, rugs, hallways, and elevators is a bit worn down and outdated, but this is fine. I like that the resort didn't feel corporate and felt family-friendly. I think if they replaced the carpets, it'd do wonders for the place.

Nice hotel, some areas are in need of an update. Worn areas around the pool and hot tub. The hotel was clean and nice and higher end for the Myrtle beach area.

Good Option for Beachfront

The hotel, pools, and proximity to the ocean were all fantastic! We especially loved the balcony—it was spacious and had high-quality chairs that made it a great spot to relax. While there were a few things we didn’t love, we would definitely consider staying here again. The on-site food was overpriced for the quality, and a 20% tip was automatically added to every bill. This was clearly noted on our breakfast receipts but not as obvious at lunch, which caused a bit of confusion. Since we only stayed a couple of days, we didn’t use the kitchen, but next time we’d plan ahead with groceries or use a food delivery service—it would cost about the same and likely be better quality. One downside was the lack of a box fan in the room. The AC struggled to keep up, and it got uncomfortably hot at night. Also, the parking spots were way too small. It was stressful to handle the parking garages! Still, the location and amenities made for a mostly great stay. I would recommend Island Vista Resort to others.

My children love the lazy river and the indoor pool. My only complaint, some of the units bathrooms were outdated. The kitchen is spacious which I love about the units. The breakfast and dinner is good, also Steven at the front desk is amazing! So nice and friendly. Definitely will stay here again.

Island Vista is always the place to stay at North Myrtle Beach. Everyone is so friendly and accommodating there. The food and drinks are top tier. It’s a very quiet and laid back place to stay. Great views and good vibes. All of my rooms are always neat and clean.

Over all the room Was okay, the property was okay, service over all was mid… check in was at 4 we got the keys 15 min after 4 we arrived at 3… we received no apologies but instead an attitude. Will not stay here again. Recommend somewhere nice… not sure why this place has 4 stars.

The one bedroom condo unit was very clean and well taken care of. The building is looking tired and could definitely use a refresh with paint and new doors. The pools are clean but small. The parking garage is tight. They were not accommodating with late departures. Food was decent.
