Nice property. Check in is on the 2nd floor so you have to pull in go up one floor in the elevator check in and then go back down. Self parking is included but is in a garage a short walk across the street and down about a block from the hotel. Beautiful view of the ocean and surprisingly a quiet property despite how packed it was. There is No restaurant onsite or room service, which is totally fine but would’ve been nice. If you allow them to text you, they’ll check in with you and solve any requests or issues you have, which is a nice touch. My major complaint is the elevators. We were on floor 10 and every time we needed to go down we had to wait forever for the elevator. There were four elevators, all functional. Once we waited over 15 minutes and it still wasn’t there so we took the stairs. That was probably the most frustrating part of our stay. We had to give ourselves about a 30 minute cushion if we had time sensitive places to be just so we could catch the elevator.

This hotel is by far the best beach hotel we have stayed. The room was spacious, clean, and well designed. The facilities were new and beautiful. The staff were friendly and helpful. I highly recommend this hotel and we will definitely come back again.

Smoke smell was awful

The stay was ok, when we arrived our room smelled like nothing but smoke. I reported this issue right away. Nothing was done about the issue until a couple days later. After several complaints. As a non smoker and having kids with us and breathing in that smoke smell was disappointing. I feel that there should have been a quicker response and some sort of credit towards my bill for this issue. I don’t how think I would return to ocean 22 because of this. ☹️

It was an amazing stay. Rooms had every accomodations we needed from cooking wares to silverware. The staff are very friendly and informative. Other accommodations like the 24 hr gym and swimming pools are a nice addition as well as the view was amazing! Would highly recommend to thise visiting Myrtle Beach.

Had a bit of rough start with the room we stayed in having some form of cigarette smell as soon as we walked in. Called the desk and they said their rooms are all non smoking. They were unable to move us but they immediately a before midnight had someone over to spray the room with fresheners etc. They helped but the smell came back a day later and I guess by that point we had to do with it. Besides that the room is nice and clean and well maintained as is the hotel. The location to me felt safe, you do have to park away from the property in a garage, about 3 minute walk away. I didn’t find this inconvenient though.

It is a beautiful hotel with nice rooms. Our room had several maintenance issues. A cabinet door was nearly falling off in the kitchen, a large window blind in the living room was broken, and there was no working vent in the bathroom. Not things I felt like dealing with while there, so we just lived with them.
