Our room was nothing like the pictures online. Our stove didn’t work, all the appliances were rusty, lights in the bathroom didn’t work all the way. Everything was outdated and not kept up. The pool area was very nice but people were literally being so loud all night in the pool even at 3:30am. The property just need a little TLC and it will be a nice place.

Property was convenient for accessing the beach and the AC worked fine. From there it’s all downhill. I was disappointed at how outdated and unkempt the room was that they gave us. Dirty floors, old kitchenette with broken burners and rusted drip pans, stained sheets, dusty bed platforms, no remote for the tv, outlets that wouldn’t hold a plug, old furniture, just all around ick vibe. Luckily we were only staying two nights so we stuck it out, but never again.

We were greeted upon entering 1st room with dead bug (?) on the bed. Upon further inspection of bed their were numerous unwashed stains on mattress cover and large blood area on mattress. Mgr came up and viewed the conditions, she was super helpful and moved us immediately to another room. She inspected this bed with me. Although 2nd room was better, this hotel has definitely lacked TLC over the last year since I stayed and is completely run down. Everything from hallways, doors filthy, walls with dead roach prints to elevator emergency phones ripped out and no working phones in rooms to call front desk. I purchased roach bait myself to put out and kept my belongings on table and tightly secured at all times just for precautionary methods. No hitchhikers wanted to bring home . Unfortunately, this is my last stay here after many years of doing so. Luckily the bed was tolerable and we were only here for spring rally of 2 nights. With all of the negatives, many thanks to the lady MGR 5/16/25 who acted professionally and quickly. I wish the efforts you put forth were the same with housekeeping and maintenance for upkeep of this facility.

Room was very gross. You can tell they halfway clean between guests. The floors were covered in sand. The balcony had spare a/c covers on it. The closet was full of spare a/c parts and a spare phone. The TV in the bed part of the room did not work. The pull out bed in the living area was DISGUSTING. We checked in at 11:30pm and the staff were extremely rude. Will NEVER stay here again. The pools still had bugs floating around at 11am, unacceptable. Btw the keep pet cats in the patio area. Just gross and disgusting.

The power sockets did not work the tub was stopped up backing up with water there was no shower curtain the stove was rusted and the room was small the view was the only good thing and the pool side bar and hot tub. VERY MUCH OUTDATED AND PICTURES ARE. ERY MISLEADING!!!

My room wasn’t clean and had mold. I assisted an emergency situation on the property and then amenities were out of commission the rest of my trip. I had to see the remains of who passed dried up in the pool for the rest of my trip as well. Sandcastle would not compensate any of my trip for any of this. I have stayed here many times and will never go back. Parking and some of the staff is about the only positive.

I called and requested an early check in and was told it wouldn’t be an issue. I get there and there’s nothing available. The site says you can use amenities if your room isn’t available. What they don’t tell you is that you have to specifically request this, and the workers look at you like you’re crazy. It also doesn’t mention that there is not a single bathroom available to the public. You have to have a key card. The one given to me didn’t work and had to be exchanged 3 times. After an hour, we get to the pool. It was nice but filthy. It’s clear that it’s not very well cleaned. When we were finally allowed into our room, that was also dirty but we wrote it off as being all the sand from the balcony. Our microwave didn’t work, at all. The towel bar in our bathroom was broken. We had 2 towels total for a suite. When I mentioned things broken, dirty, not working, I was basically told “this is what’s available” For what is being charged, I expect a hell of a lot better. Our key cards had to be re-magnetized daily. Overall just a hugely unpleasant stay. And we are still waiting 4 days later for our deposit to be returned.

DO NOT BOOK HERE

WE ARRIVED TO A FILTHY LOBBY. FLOORS AND WINDOWS WERE DIRTY. WE WERE GIVEN OUR ROOM ASSIGNMENT AND WENT IN TO FIND THE AIR CONDITIONER NOT WORKING. WE CALLED THE DESK THEY SENT MAINTENANCE THAT COULD NOT FIX THE PROBLEM SO WEREWERE GIVEN ANOTHER ROOM. THIS ROOM HAD WORKING A/C BUT THE CURTAINS AT THE BALCONY WERE HALF HANGING UNATTACHED TO THE ROD. I WENT TO CHECK THE BATHROOM AND FOUNDTHE SINK WAS CRACKED AND HANGING ABOUT 3 INCHES FROM THE COUNTERTOP. I FELT HORRIBLE ALREADY. I WALKED ON THE BALCONY TO TAKE IN THE SEA AIR AND ALL I COULD SMELL WAS MARIJUANA AND I IMMEDIATELY WENT BACK INSIDE. HOTELS .COM SHOWED AMENITIES AT THIS RESORT. A GRILL AND RESTAURANT AND A TIKI BAR. THERE WERE NEITHER OPERATING. WE WERE TOLD THE GRILL WOULD OPEN AT 11 ORDER AT THE TIKI BAR. NEITHER OPENED. WE SETTLED FOR STARBUCKS DOWN THE STREET. NEXT WE STARTED TO BED ATO FIND THE SHEETS WERE DAMP FROM NOT BEING FULLY DRIED IN THE DRYER. WE PUT TOWELS DOWN TO GET THROUGHT HE NIGHT. WE TRIED TO USE THE PHONE TO CONTACT THE DESK AND IT DIDNT WORK. SUNDAY MORNING WE NEEDED DRINKS TO TAKE MEDS ECT. WE WENT DOWN TO THE LOBBY TO FIND OUT THERE WAS NO COFFE NOWATER FOR GUESTS AND NO VENDING MACHINES OF ANY KIND TO GET ANYTHING. THE POOL WAS FILTHY ALSO. I WOULD SUGGEST NOT TO BOOK AT SANDCASTLE AND NEVER TRUST HOTELS.COM TO LIST ACCREDITED HOTELS. LOOK ELSEWARE.

I didn't like the fact that the stove was dirty, I had to request pots and pans to cook, then when I tried to cook smoke was coming out of the stove, so we whined up eating out. the room wasn't that clean, when I tried calling for room service the phone didn't work. I decided to check out 1 day early because I wasn't satisfied with this hotel. What I liked most about the place was the staff.
