We loved the location! We could see Old Mystic Village across the street. Right off 95. We also enjoyed the breakfast and I loved having coffee available. My son thought the building had a smell (I didn't notice)and we ran out of hot water in the morning because everyone in the building was taking a shower at the same time. They also were reluctant to give us extra towels and said they have were starting to run out (but they did). I forgot my toothbrush and we needed earplugs and they provided both very kindly. Overall, a good basic hotel.

The only issue is inconsiderate people families that check in can’t control their Children and young people that can’t control their music in considering others The walls are thin enough without a blaring bass Above you for hours The staff tried their best to ask them to be considerate but it got worse,and at midnight they started up again for a short time so you even heard it on the 3 rd floor The main manager ( owner) was very apologetic , maybe on my next stay a percentage for inconvenienced would be kind to offer No complaints about the room , the cleanliness or the pool all was exceeding my expectations of staying near the village .The day staff was very accommodating in replacing a torn shower curtain and a noisy refrigerator compressor . Thank you all for the wonderful breakfast and diligence . The night manager surely did his best 🙂

The only reason we stayed at this Holiday Inn is because they had a pool. I called the hotel before booking to ensure the pool was open and the pool heater was working and specifically asked if the pool was kept warm and was told that it was and the water temperature was warm. For those who are not familiar with the area the property is in very close proximity to the Mystic Aquarium (we have a membership). For our purposes (we do not live that far) we wanted access to a heated pool for that amenity only. Unfortunately, the water was cool. Kids, who generally can stay in water for hours, made it 20 minutes before becoming too cold and the pool not enjoyable anymore. If you need a safe place to stay close to a lot of good restaurants this place is fine. If you are traveling with kids (as a fun break) you would probably do better at surrounding properties.

The property as I said is average, nothing fancy about the place. The issue I have that my credit card was stolen in the room. The housekeeper don’t speak English and when I asked the front desk manager he said nothing was turned in even though I left the room no more than 2 minutes. By the time I went back in the room the housekeeper was already in there and said she found nothing. Safe to say I won’t be returning.
