I do not like giving bad reviews but I believe it would just be unfair to others if I didn’t leave a comment about this hotel. The mirrors in the room look like they have never seen a cleaning rag. It took everything in me to step in the tub to take a quick shower. I slept on top of the sheets on my bed. The smoke detector did not look intact. The room above us leaked into our shower the following day. I can’t believe this place is rated as high as it is. I paid about $250 for one night. Total rip off! I was so frustrated after seeing my room that I wanted to go somewhere else but was afraid I wouldn’t get my money back.

A bit gross
I will say the bed was comfortable. That’s about it. The tv was not working. It kept blinking like a loose wire but couldn’t fix it. I wasn’t there to watch tv so I didn’t care too much. What the issue was when using the bathroom the next day, I noticed what appeared to be someone wiped the wall with a used tissue. I was pretty grossed out, grabbed my things and left. Not clear how house keeping did not catch that.

One night stay on Saturday - great location Acceptably clean , but nightstand had sticky residue /glass marks and exercise room floor dirty- would not use. Tub/shower were very old, clean, had good hot water and good water pressure Heat worked very well Walls thin Front desk staff very pleasant

Nice staff, old dirty hotel.
The only reason I’m not rating it a poor is because the people working there are very nice, it’s a great location and is cheap. But I wouldn’t stay there again. It’s not clean. Carpets in the hall are all stained. It’s old and could be a lot nicer with some updates, like fresh paint, clean carpets, better mattresses and pillows and bedding.

Three issues: 1. The door into the building near my room, from the outside, would not lock! That's UNSAFE. Also, the hardware was broken & make-shift, 2. The lamp light in my room was way too dim----because they use 15 watt REFRIGERATOR bulbs to cut corners. 3. Noting I was there on Election Night---they had multiple FOX channels (Right leaning) BUT no MSNBC (left-leabing). That is BIASED!

The room needed some updating-the mirror on the bathroom door was filthy as was the tub/shower. The mini fridge was rusted out and the actual room was musty and old. Furniture was nice and bed was nice but the musty smell was not. They’re definitely trying to improve the space though I think.

The room and the service was great. The staff were very friendly and nice. The only bad thing was that the heat didn't work so well so the room was a little cold. I put the heat up and then it seemed to get better. Good value hotel for a nice Mystic visit.

Our room was uninhabitable. The vent was covered with mold, the shower walls and floor were covered in streaks of brown filth and residue. The refrigerator had piles of rust particles under it and more would fall each time you opened it. The freezer portion was a solid block of ice and unusable. Some of the furniture was covered in so much dust it looked like they hadn't been touched in months. There were crumbs and dust on the floor under and around the sink. The place reeked of mold. The hallway leading to the room also smelled strongly of mold, and the floor was covered in filth. It looks like it hadn't been vacuumed in months. I have been fighting with them for a week now, they have refused to give my money back due to their cancellation policy. I did not cancel, I showed up in good faith to stay for three nights, and found my room uninhabitable, and the air making both me and my friend feel sick.

The room needed renovations & the bathroom too. The bed overall was comfortable. The shower worked & had hot water. The hallway smelled of cigarette smoke & the carpet was dirty. Location was good. Diner is a plus. Jealous Monk restaurant was good. Went to see a movie so I did not have to spend too much time in our room. One night was enough for us. We still had a great vacation!

This property is absolutely disgusting. We tried to get a refund through Expedia and after spending an hour on the phone with multiple different people they offered us 1/5 of what we paid in key cash, with no actual refund for the hotel we didn’t end up staying at. It looks nothing like the photos, the rooms and hall reek of pee and cigarettes. The rooms are unclean and the doors do not lock property, which is extremely unsafe. The actual doors to the hotel besides the main door do not lock either, they are open for anyone to come in.
