The hotel room (superior room we booked) is very small. No table, just one chair. Night tables are also very small. We asked long ago for a room with bathtub, but the hotel staff just refused to provide such a room for us. Receptionist told us all their rooms are fully booked for the day, so they could not provide us with a room with bathtub. Actually on Expedia, rooms are available for their 3 types of rooms for the day. Expedia told us the hotel has provided us with a complimentary upgrade. No upgrade at all. l On Expedia, the same room sells for much less for the same night stay.

Could be a great hotel….. but unfortunately not.

The odd thing is that this should be a great hotel, but it’s like it was designed by a person who doesn’t know about hotel design, or building. Small things like no thermostatic control in the room… it was hot, a note say open the window, don’t worry about the miges….. and they were right there were lots. Terrible lighting, really dark. A cheap awkward shower curtain to fix a design issue with the walk in shower that then lifts towards you as soon as you turn the shower on. A full power socket, right beside the tap in the bathroom … in the UK that would be against all building control regulations. Oh and lastly, the only hotel we stayed at where tourist tax was not included. Apparently this year they have decided that it’s an extra.

Enjoyable stay

Free parking outside hotel. We had free use of the hotel hot tubs before 10pm with the booking but didn’t use them. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable with good black out curtains. You can eat at either the restaurant in the hotel or another (think probably bit cheaper) across the car park. We ate in and both enjoyed our meals, provided with good service. Breakfast was good with a reasonable range of items that were kept stocked. Happily stay again if ever in the area.

Very nice hotel. Comfortable beds and clean room. The breakfast was delicious and the best. There is a nice restaurant next to the hotel with soup buffet that I liked very much.
