Positives - great friendly staff. Delicious buffet breakfasts. Relaxing grounds. However, the buildings need a lot of maintenance - leaks, decaying timber, bubbling/flaking paint everywhere etc... Our room was also quite run down. All the furniture had swollen from historic water damage, and some were shedding sawdust. The fridge was missing a leg, so it rocked every time we opened it. The kettle was odd as it turned itself off and then automatically on again so my wife burnt her hand on the handle - had to switch it off at the wall. One of the desk lights was temperamental. The exterior screen door was very difficult to operate due to worn tracks. One of the chair legs was not even so rocked when sitting in it. The sliding door to the toilet was stuck on the tracks, so difficult to operate. Inferior finishing work in the tiled bathroom. Ultimately, we were disappointed with the quality of the room as it was our 25th wedding anniversary trip that we had booked to Vanuatu, but then we had to make a last-minute change to Fiji due to the Vanuatu earthquake. We had been to Fiji previously in other resort accommodation that was much better quality, so I guess our expectations were too high, but for the price, I thought it should have been better.
