Naechon Vacation Packages

Came early but opted out early check-in fee. I liked that they had the free lockers to keep my suitcase and backpack till that time. I chose to try the self check-in at the kiosk rather than desk, it was pretty straightforward, but when it came time to activate the room key, a staff member came over to ensure I activated two cards and then went through the printed out receipt that detailed my room number, services available, breakfast times etc. The hotel is 1 minute walk from Haeundae beach after crossing the road and about a 5 minute walk from subway. I found this convenient. The rooms were a good size and practical. Bear in mind that you don't get free amenities like toothbrush/toothpaste/shower cap/razor. Seems the norm in other hotels as well. There was a functional small gym with a squat rack, bench, dumbells, bands and 3 cardio machines. There was also 3 washers and dryers with cost of 5000won to use. This is the same price as an outside laundromat in some cases. I didn't eat breakfast in the hotel so can't comment.

Worst hotel experience of my entire life. When I think of Shila hotel I think of excellence as I have been accustomed on several trips to Korea with a previous night stay in Yeosu-that hotel is excellent. First that rooms need a make over-lot of cracks along the walls and ceiling. Next-no working AC. I had to open the window because the front desk manager stated to me that AC was shut off for the entire building even though the lobby, gym, and hallways had working AC. There was no notice of AC not working online or during check in. Next-laundry machine was not working because they did not connect the water to the machine and there was water leaking from under the machine. I almost slipped many times. I will say all of the staff was very respectful. My feedback to Shila hotel is if you cannot afford AC in your hotel please close your doors and spend money on the rooms and guest areas that make your hotel one of the best.

The beds and linens are very comfortable and it was very quiet. Slept amazingly here!! The drain for the tub was partially clogged so we got a foot soak with every shower lol I would stay near the beach if I came back but no major issues with this hotel. It’s very “90s fancy” older western style.
