Koki and Naomi were wonderful hosts!
Koki is an AMAZING chef, look forward to breakfasts and dinners everyday!
Lodge is near goryu mountain, ski-in.
Private onsen is amazing after a long day at the slopes!
IL Bosco is an absolutely fabulous place to stay! Koki and Naomi are wonderful hosts and so generous and friendly. The location of IL Bosco is very close to Hakuba Goryu and you can ski / snowboard back to the accommodation which was perfect. Koki is a wonderful cook and the food at IL Bosco was fantastic! Our room was fresh, clean, warm and had everything we needed to hang ski clothes etc. Would definitely recommend this accommodation and we hope to be back one day! Plus having an onsen at the end of the day after skiing was wonderful!! Thanks Koki and Naomi!!
Absolutely loved our stay! The hosts were very lovely and picked us up from the bus stop. Lovely dinners and breakfasts and helped us get to the skiing rental shop, since we were first time skiers. Overall very happy! Cant wait to bring my family here :)
Excellent B&B and Close to both Goryu and Hakuba47
Comfortable bed and space was generous in the room
Walking distance to Goryu and you can take shuttle to Hakuba47 from Goryu
Koki and Naomi are very friendly and helpful
The Italian restaurant is very delicious! Book your meals during your stay for hassle free dinner.
Most of the guests are going to the same destinations as you so easy to make friends
To get there you need to take Alpico bus from Nagano. Book ahead the tickets to and from Nagano station as seats are limited.
Quite onerous to go to other places during snowing winter.
My friend and I stayed in Bosco for 4 nights and we can't recommend it more. Koki and Naomi are the best hosts we've ever had. They are extremely nice and friendly and always cater your need. We loved this hotel at the first impression, its apparent that Koki and Naomi had paid so much attention on making their guests comfortable, from lovely decorations to comfy doona. We had our breakfast in the hotel every morning and they are so delicious and you can tell that Koki and Naomi had put in so much effort in making tasty meals that come with a good variety. We loved our dinner at Bosco too, it was so delicate and fulfilling.
The part we love the most is the spa, after a tiring day in the snow, a bath/spa is the perfect way of relaxing our body and warming up.
Koki and Naomi are such beautiful people, they offer to give us lift to the bus station and when they found out we had stuff left in the hotel, Koki came back to the station and delivered them to us. We were so moved by all the nice things they had done for us, which were not necessary.
We are definitely coming back to the hotel the next time we enjoy the snow season in Hakuba, because Bosco has everything we need to complete a wonderful snow trip. And everything it offer just exceed our expectation.
We genuinely hope more people can stay in Bosco to enjoy a beautiful trip.
Amazing experience, expectional food, fantastic hosts, new and beautifully design chalet, warm fires, fabulous big onsen room, cozy and just a sheer delight!
What an amazing place to stay! From the most delicious food to the incredible onsen after a day on the slopes, we will definitely be staying here again next time we are in Hakuba.
The host Koki was extremely hospitable, approachable and accommodating, picking us up from the train station, driving us to the ski hire, getting us a good ski hire deal, and even gave us a snack for the trip on to our next destination. Il Bosco is very cosy and it's easy to get comfortable here!
Il Bosco is within walking distance of Hakuba Goryu (and Hakuba 47 - parks are linked), along with walking distance to bus stop, temple, and a few bars. Next time you visit Hakuba do yourself a favour and stay here!
We had a fantastic time at Il Bosco. The house is just beautiful. The fireplace and private onsen are amazing. Koki, the host, was super friendly and helpful. We had a really good time and really enjoyed staying at Il Bosco. We can only recommend staying there and will definitely stay again when we come back to Goryu/Hakuba.
Best host EVER! Koki and Naomi are super cute! and Koki cooking are world class, we have breakfast and dinner there almost everyday, and they everything you need for your comfortable stay. Fireplace was super nice, and the big bath, OMG, it was amazing, after a full day of snowboarding! did I mention is only a 10 mins walk to Goryu. or if you are that lazy, there are shuttle right outside. And if there is snow, you can basically ride/ski all the way back to the place! Overall this is the best place I ever stay for all my travel in years. I will for sure come back if I go back to Hakuba. Highly recommended.
My gf and I stayed here during the winter. Koki and his wife were extremely gracious host. The food was great and there was a private onsen which you could reserve for free. Beautiful place to stay.
When I booked this hotel I didn't realize it was more like a B&B in the states. Run by the owners a husband and wife it's an out of the way place to stay in a rural setting in Japan. Kuoki, the husband is a happy man who does all of the cooking and was eager to please us at every meal. And his meals were delicious! Although quite quiet in winter and most eateries closed for the warm season we had a relaxing stay with daily day trips to nearby destinations.
IL Bosco is a great experience for any traveler. You arrive at the Kamishiro station by rail. It is a bit of a walk so the proprietor offered to pick us up at the station. The place is beautiful!! We were surrounded by mountains, high banks of snow (we went in March), giant trees and friendly people. We stayed in room #1 which was very spacious and even has a small private bathroom. A short train ride brings you right into Hakuba area for skiing, snowboarding, mountain climbing and onsen (hot springs). Our host is an incredible chef!! We had two dinners and two breakfasts at IL Bosco. He is also an excellent mountain guide and trekker. Despite the language barrier, he easily guided us through the best activities and even showed us pictures from his hikes across the famous Japanese Alps and site of the 1998 Winter Olympics. Highly Recommended!!!
That was the best time I've had wile in Japan. I will be coming back in the summer for sure. They are the nicest people iv met in a long time. thanks again for the hospitality.
We wanted a ski getaway and this worked for us as one of the ski slope was 15 mins walk away (ski lifts). The other ski options were easily accessible by free shuttles. The owner (an ex chef cooks western meals very well) and his wife are very helpful and hospitable. The room was very basic but everything else was clean and works. We are happy and plan to be back. The hot tub was ideal after a long day out in the snow.
Very close to Goryu ski field, shuttle bus is only around the corner. The owners were the most beautiful people I've ever met! They offered to take me to Goryu, Happo-one, Hakuba Station and even the convenience store when I was sick. Breakfast & dinner are also available onsite. The room was very clean & tidy. It was also quite a big room comparing to two other places I've stayed at in Hakuba. Will definitely visit Il Bosco again when I'm there next.
I can fully recommend to stay at Il Bosco. The hosts Naomi and Kiko are very friendly and helpful. My room had a natural atmosphere with nice wooden floor and a view into the woods. Location is short walking distance to Goryo Ski area. On the way back you can ski down directly to Il Bosco. Their private Onsen is brand new and perfect to relax. Food is excellent! Fast WiFi, heated drying room, pick-up service from train. It was perfect....
