the man running the place is just lovely. he spoke the best english of anyone we met while in japan for two weeks and was super friendly. every morning the breakfast was a little different, he drove us to the bus station at the end of our trip, and he was always available for questions and advice. the private onsen (hot tub) was excellent after a day on the slopes and all in all it had a more bed and breakfast vibe. it’s a 10 minute walk to echoland (restaurants) and a 20 minute bus ride to happo one ski lifts
We absolutely loved staying here! Nanjo was such an amazing host, so helpful and would go extra mile for guests. The best part of the accommodation is the private outdoor onsen that you can claim all to yourself. Perfect way to end the day after skiing.
We had a wonderful stay. The owner was more than accommodating by allowing us to check in later than 11pm. He also gifted us with a free bottle of wine from a local winery.
The room was expectedly small but comfortable and very affordable. The Onsen felt amazing after a long day of skiing.
Would highly recommend staying here when visiting Hakuba.
This place was great, our host was super nice and helpful, gave us a ride to the bus station and let us store our luggage there during the day, plus made us an early breakfast each morning. The room was spacious and clean and we even got upgraded for free! The private onsen was heaven after a hard day of skiing. Would definitely stay there again and recommend it highly!
Our ski trip went smoothly as the owner who was very helpful made sure we knew how to get around using the shuttle buses and also made getting our gear very easy, thankyou nanjo
The man the runs this place is amazing! He will try and accommodate any need you may have, including dropping you off somewhere in the morning and picking you up again.
Staff spoke no English and my little bit of Japanese was inadequate. There was a restaurant, but we could not understand enough to know if we could eat there. We were basically waved off when we tried to inquire. The room was a typical small Japanese room with hard bed and the extremely uncomfortable crunchy pillows.
