The hotel itself is lovely. The staff was very accommodating. Gave good recommendations for dinner colour two nights there. The interiors are all white and spotlessly clean. Out room was reasonably sized: medium-large, decent furnishings, lots of storage space if you like to unpack everything. The bathroom was gorgeous - lots of marble! However, the lighting in the bathroom over the sink was rather dim, difficult to style hair, do makeup. While in the room itself, there were almost too many options for lighting. The cons: the entrance is in our mind a negative - the sign from the street is not large (but we saw it), you go about 25 ft into something like an alley, and then you take an elevator up to the third floor for reception (our room was also on the third floor). The elevator is outside, built like a steel shaft with glass, four stories tall, for 3-4 people. Breakfast was OK, would have liked more fresh fruit. There is a rooftop terrace with a hot tub. Honestly, it was underwhelming - way too much furniture and not enough plantings to make it really attractive. We went up there, looked around but did not stay up there. And there was no one else up there, but I suppose the rooftop terrace is not important. And the hotel is very centrally located - just steps from the major square by the port and the castle, five minute walk to Via Toledo, the Spanish Quarter, and the Galleria Umberto.
