NEW OWNERS (ONLY IN PLACE ONE WEEK BEFORE ARRIVAL)
Although my paperwork from Expedia said check in starts at 4:00 pm, when we arrived we could not get in! (I see on return that this time is now stated as 5:00 pm). Tried telephoning - but both the number of the Chambres D'Hotes external board and the Expedia paperwork would not work - a completely different number is listed on my invoice. My sister and I had asked for twin beds, and this was confirmed by yourselves when you wrote to me stating that you had modified our booking. When shown to our room there was one double bed! However the new owner did change the room to twin beds the next day. The biggest surprise of all though was the fact that they do not take credit cards (!!!) despite several sites stating that they do! So I had to go around to the ATM on the last morning and was glad that we had only been staying for 3 nights!! We stayed from 7 - 9 June 2017 and the new owners had only been in place for one week. They are a very nice young couple and I wish them well, but it is obvious the reviews relate to the previous owners (who were also Michelin listed).

Very good overnight stop
The owner is very welcoming and has a fascinating and well maintained house. The breakfast was varied and plentiful and our bedroom was very quiet and comfortable.

Our Favorite Stay So Far!
We absolutely adored this place! The hosts were so lovely (as was there little dog!), and the home is absolutely beautiful. Breakfast was wonderful too; in fact, it was the best croissant we've had in France, and we spent four weeks in Paris trying ALL of them. When we arrived, we were exhausted from our drive and chose not to go to a formal dinner in the area, but when the hosts recommended a little local bar, we Couldn't pass it up. And we are so glad we went!! It was not at all what we expected (forget your tourist idea of rustic stone and wood), but it was great fun nonetheless and with fun locals and great local wine too. My husband and I have already recommended this place to some family friends, and we would like to come back sometime to try one or more of the Michelin Star restaurants. Don't hesitate to book!
