Elegant, up-to-date property within a fairly easy walk of the train station. Room relatively spacious; comfortable beds. Shower offers only one product: hair-and-body soap. Although the room has a thermostat, it doesn't appear to control the temperature and always returns to the default setting (20 C). Electrical outlets are not convenient for charging devices; no USB ports, so you must use your own charger. Top floor restaurant offers limited but excellent entrees in a spectacular setting, and a large selection of wines. I recommend getting the bread (baguette) and "roasted butter", both uniquely excellent . Breakfast offers a wide and fresh selection.

Heat in bathroom, no heat in room…no thermostat. Just one small, oldish pilllow. If you don’t have internet, you cannot scan the code on the door. Tough luck for you because you paid for the room but you can’t get in! Only good thing is the location.

Fairly large room but a little run down compared to the other Thon hotels I have stayed at. Soundproofing was also kind of poor as we could hear people talking as well as foot steps when people on the above floor were walking around the room. Staff was friendly and the breakfast spread lives up to Thon hotel standard (really good breakfast variety). Location is very convenient as you can walk to all the nearby grocery shops like Coop, Bunnpris and REMA1000.

The property is well appointed and very nicely curated in a beautiful setting. The proprietor is very friendly and extremely helpful. For us it served as a very nice base while we explored the area for a few days. What is not immediately obvious from the photos is that this property is right next door to the owner's house which really limits your privacy somewhat. It is also located next to farmland (which is pastoral and beautiful) but during our stay they fertilized the fields so we couldn't spend any time outside on the lovely back patio or open the windows. Not the Owner's fault of course, but something to bear in mind. We would also suggest that the linens be updated somewhat. Given the price we were paying we would have hoped for something a little less "family summer house" quality. As compared with other hotels in the area however, we would stay there again.
