Nothing on Expedia mentioned a $55 / night Valet service, that was mandatory. Rooms were chic, but very small. Went down for breakfast the next morning, and should have brought my wallet! Very disappointed for the money they were charging.

The Caption is a beautiful hotel, and it does not hurt that it is brand spanking new. The staff was warm and friendly from check in to check out. The rooms were well laid out and everything from the linens to the towels felt like they were being used for the first time. Lots of meal options down Broadway, with no more than a 15 minute walk. That part of the city felt safe and was very clean. There were a few unhoused people along the way, but even they were extremely polite and not at all aggressive. We had a great stay there. Will be back.

New and Nice!
At check-in we learned we were the 10th couple (ever!) to stay at this property and you could tell: it's completely new. Industrial but comfortable decor, with modern touches like easy-to-cast TV, water + ice dispensers on each floor, USB-c ports, etc. Comfortable bed and quality linens. We appreciated being able to walk to all the Gulch area of downtown has to offer, and it was a short walk down to SoBro for more exploring. All in all a great stay!
