Smell of Mildew

As soon as I got off the elevator to go to my room, the smell of mildew hits you. It worsened when I arrived to my hotel room. It was a potent smell of mildew in the entire hotel room. I let the front desk know and asked to be moved. They said that they were at max occupancy and the only thing they can do is send someone up to spray the room with freshener. That was gonna exacerbate the odor issue. I was never moved so for two days I had to put with the smell of mildew in my hotel room. I hated every moment of staying in that room.

The area is quite safe. The only problem is that you can't make a left onto the Donelson Pike to just to drive 1/2 mile to the Mc Donalds requires a long 2-3 mile round trip using I-40 to Elm Pike to Donelson Pike to the Mc Donalds. It's a bit of a hassle. The room smelled musty and there was a notable presence of mold, especially on the wooden valance above the windows. On a positive note, our cleaning lady did a great job. She made the beds and replace the towels and the room was, mold aside, spotless.

The property was not what I expected. The rooms are outdated and corroded, the carpet smells bad. I was very skeptical about getting under the covers on the bed. Not very welcoming. I was in room 313.

Terrible stay!!!

This was a horrible Stay Looks great online The first room that we were assigned was terrible we walked in and someone was definitely smoking in that room it was gross Lady at front desk was nice and changed room. Second Room was right next door and just as bad the smell of cigarettes and mold/musy odor was terrible We never left suitcase open so clothes would not smell and there is no ventilation in room or bathrokm. Mini fridge did not work and hotel lobby had weird people waiting for ubers late at night it was just a bad stay! Would never stay there ever or recommend This hotel has been updated as far as furnishings but hotel itself is bad and hallways are also dirty near ice machine and elevator ugh!

Love its proximity to the airport and the friendliness of the staff. The rooms need updating and there was mold on window frames and in the shower. Needs to be recaulked. Both rooms had a musty smell. The first was so bad we had to request a change. The air conditioner was definitely part of the musty smell.

The room had a foul smell, and the mattress was uncomfortable. Neither the phone nor the refrigerator worked. The window was marked with dried water stains. The third floor, where I stayed, could really use a fresh coat of paint. It looked as if someone had taken a scraper and removed the paint from the walls.

I overall enjoyed my stay here. The room was clean, quiet, etc. and the breakfast was fine. But I do have a major complaint and I want to tell the full story… I landed in Nashville at 10 am. I was eager to get the hotel shuttle so I could drop my suitcase off so that I could jump into sightseeing. I only was staying in Nashville for 24 hours so I wanted to utilize every minute I had in the city. So I googled the hotel phone number and the automated system said to press 2 for the front desk. I did just that and was disconnected. What happened? I dialed again and again and again and the same thing kept happening! I must’ve tried 25 times and this kept happening! So I googled again and this time found a reservation line for Country Inn. I explained what happened and the guy gave me the hotel’s direct line. So I call the number and the phone rang endlessly and no one answered! I kept trying for 30 plus minutes and still no one answered! My blood was boiling at this point. 60 minutes after I landed I’m still stuck at the airport thanks to this hotel’s incompetency. So FINALLY I get through and the hotel said the shuttle would be there in 15 minutes. How long did it take in the end?? 45 minutes! So do the math…nearly 2 hours of my trip was wasted stuck at the airport because of this hotel. If they were busy they should still be answering the phone! There is ZERO excuse for this situation.
