The hotel was quite dated, in much need of the current renovation that was going on during our stay. The staff was friendly, so that made up for the condition of the property. Bring ear plugs. The toilets flushed with gusto, sounding like a small jet plane taking off, so if you want to sleep through a companion using the toity in the night, plug those ears or take a sleeping pill. During breakfast, I overheard two staff in the kitchen talking about how there had to be a mouse living under the fridge because they’d found an apple and a yogurt under there that was evidently procured and hidden by a furry friend for feasting. But I didn’t observe any droppings or bugs or rodents, so maybe it was just idle chatter. The property served its purpose; we didn’t fall asleep at the wheel during a road trip. So, therefore the average rating.

This morning, I asked the young man at the front desk if we could have late check-out and he told us 2 pm. I replied back 2 pm to make sure I heard correctly and he confirmed late check out was indeed 2 pm. At noon, the front desk called our room informing us we needed to leave. I left them know what the man told us this morning and again were told we needed to leave. So we quickly showered and left with wet hair in 30° weather. Keep in mind we are in our 60’s. We were so shocked to be scooted out with basically no notice.
