Property did not look at all like the pictures on expedia. Completely misrepresented. When our car was parked (for a fee) they didn't even lock the doors. The very small room had thin walls and an awful air conditioning unit that woke everyone up sounding like a plane landing when it went on. The worst was a make shift door across the toilet/shower/sink area that didn't even close, leaving 3 or 4 inches. It was an old piece of plywood. It was an outrageous cost for a terrible room.

Pros: hotel staff was friendly, the rooms clean, and proximity to broadway was great, breakfast was good. Cons: staff smoking outside bar area, too many staff working felt odd, hotel entrance smelled, elevator to rooms was inconvenient, stairwell was smelly and creepy. If I had been traveling alone, I would have changed hotels.

Layout was poor. For what we paid, we got ground floor room right next to the sidewalk. Noise through out the night including city sanitation picking up dumpster fills. Employees spent smoke breaks close to our entry and place stunk of cigarettes all day long.

I recently stayed at and had a fantastic experience. From the moment I arrived, the staff was incredibly welcoming and attentive. The check-in process was smooth, and they even accommodated my early arrival with no issues. Room: The room was spacious, clean, and well-appointed. The bed was extremely comfortable, and I appreciated the thoughtful touches nice amenities, e.g., “complimentary coffee and tea station, and high-quality toiletries. Facilities: The hotel offers a range of facilities that made my stay even more enjoyable. The [restaurant/bar/lounge] served delicious meals, with a great selection.

This “hotel” is actually a rundown motel. Pictures in the ad look nice but it is very deceiving. Bed was terribly uncomfortable, the room was not clean, and you could hear everything through walls. We will not be returning! Do not recommend!!

** COCKROACH MOTEL. DO NOT STAY HERE!!!** It's a MOTEL with exterior rooms off of shared balconies and NOT a hotel. It is a very old and extremely poorly maintained building in a rough area. You'll be stepping over homeless people sleeping on the sidewalk on your way back to the hotel at night. The doors are very old and difficult to close, so all you hear through the night is neighboring doors slamming hard. The building was lightly "renovated" to look deceiving in their advertising and website pictures, but the reality is quite different. The "renovations" are very low quality and homemade. The bath tub and plumbing are old, you'll be standing in your own filthy water as the tub doesn't drain well at all. The wall mounted air conditioner is very old and sounds like an airplane landing. There's a small fridge that doesn't work, your food will go bad. I saw a huge COCKROACH run across the room. I tried photographing it to show management, and while I was trying to take the picture a 2nd cockroach run out from under one bed and hid under the second bed. Do NOT leave your luggage open! This place is infested. We checked out immediately! DISGUSTING!

This property had some ups and downs. I felt like an inconvenience to the staff when checking in. And I was told they could do nothing to match the lower price of my roof, as it had dropped about $30 a night between when I booked and arrived. This despite showing the staff the choice hotels policy on price matching. The valet staff were pleasant. The hotel is on the north side of downtown and an uphill walk from broadway. It did not feel unsafe but definitely in a less maintained part of downtown. The room was updated to be a more modern choice but noise and sounds from adjoining rooms was hard to ignore. Biggest complaint was the bath towels were pretty small and I think prisons have softer options. Breakfast was reasonable but nothing amazing. In hindsight spending another $30-40 a night for the nearby hotels would have been worth it.

The staff were amazingly friendly and the cleaning staff were very quick. Elisa tending the bar was fun, friendly and gave us excellent recommendations on where to go in town. We enjoyed our stay and would gladly stay again.
