We chose this hotel expecting a safe and family-friendly environment, but our vacation turned into a nightmare when the on-site restaurant served my 2-year-old son food he was severely allergic to—despite clearly communicating his allergies in advance with every precaution we could take. He went into anaphylactic shock and had to be rushed to the hospital by ambulance after we administered his EpiPen.
This was a life-threatening emergency caused by unacceptable negligence. What’s worse, the hotel’s only response was a generic “wellness check” email. There was no real concern, no accountability, and no true follow-up. We spent thousands of dollars expecting a safe and enjoyable vacation. Instead, we were traumatized, and our trust was completely broken.
Parents of children with allergies—please be extremely cautious. This establishment demonstrated a shocking lack of responsibility and empathy in handling a medical emergency and offered no compensation or ways to help us finish our stay on a positive note.
