The Royal at Atlantis offers 1201 accommodations with safes and coffee/tea makers. 32-inch flat-screen televisions come with premium cable channels and pay movies. Bathrooms include complimentary toiletries and hair dryers.

Guests can surf the web using the complimentary wireless Internet access. Business-friendly amenities include desks along with free local calls (restrictions may apply). Additionally, rooms include irons/ironing boards and blackout drapes/curtains. A nightly turndown service is provided and housekeeping is offered daily.

The food was disappointing. Had three dinners which were underwhelming. Each restaurant only had the same two fish offerings, salmon and grouper. There was a lack of fresh vegetable offerings as well. The food was uninspiring. Being in a warm environment, we were looking forward to having a cocktail outside in the evening. There wasn't a single outdoor bar open after 5:00 p.m. We did have dinner outdoors at Silan and had a cocktail at our table but with a facility of this size not to have an outdoor bar area open at night was disappointing. Was also very annoyed by several pushy emails we received before our stay asking for our flight arrival and departure information. Despite telling the Atlantis we had arranged for transportation, was told we needed it to check in. Never have encountered this before. We felt strong armed and the stay got off to a negative start before we even left home. The grounds and the staff were wonderful despite the couple of issues listed above.

I recently stayed at the Royal Atlantis in the Bahamas and found the experience to be a mixed bag. On the plus side, the resort itself is impressively nice and spotlessly clean. However, those expectations quickly fell short when it came to the value for money. The resort is terribly overpriced, especially considering the quality of the food and the level of service provided. Meals were lackluster and did not justify the steep prices, and service often felt inattentive and subpar. While the Royal Atlantis boasts a beautiful and clean setting, the overall experience is not worth the hefty price tag. For those seeking genuine value along with a family-friendly atmosphere, there are better options available.

On our vacation in mid-December 2025, our hotel tower (maybe all of them) lost running water for 2 hours. There was no explanation or credit from the hotel. Everything (food, onsite entertainment, drinks) at this hotel is at a 4 Star level but priced like it's 5 Star. Some onsite entertainment/experiences are excellent, albeit short, but are priced extremely high. A 30 minute snorkel in their excellent aquarium for 3 adults was over $600 USD!!

There’s a lot to do here, which is great. However, in my opinion the place is overrated and overpriced. The best part of my trip was leaving the resort to do a tour and taste local food and meet locals. I would come to the Bahamas again, but next time stay downtown Nassau or try another island. Atlantis isn’t for me. Also, was not too impressed with my room at the Royal. Dirty carpets and garbage on the floor from previous guests; dirt and stains in the bathroom sink and tub; sunken mattress that clearly needs to be replaced. I expected more from here.
