Horrible stay. I was staying in a double bed room and got bed bug bites (doctor confirmed!) therefore I wanted to move. I paid for and reserved a Queen Luxury suite through the Expedia app however the woman at the front desk refused to move me, even after I complained about bed bug bites and noisy people upstairs not to mention I PAID and made a reservation for Queen room - she then denied they had a Queen bed even after I sent a screen shot of the confirmed reservation with a Queen bed. Lazy and very very rude person and should not be handling customers. I’ve travelled all over the world and use Expedia very often and have never experienced anything like this. I will never stay at this property again.

The owner of the property has a serious attitude problem. I would not advise anyone, especially locals, to stay there. My family and I came for a short visit—I have three little ones and was the only one handling them. We paid for our stay, yet she made us feel lower than dirt simply because we were unaware that checkout time was at 10 a.m. I asked if I could pay for an extra hour, but she said no and went on a rampage in front of my children. I tried to stay as calm as I could. There were no cleaning supplies, such as a mop or dustpan. My two-year-old had the flu during the trip and threw up on one of the towels. I used the towel because there was nothing else to clean it up with. She screamed at me and said I had to pay $15 for the towel, which I did, even though I know it didn’t cost that much. Guests should not be treated like this. Our money is no different from anyone else’s, and you don’t treat people—or children—that way. I was appalled. She ruined our entire stay. Thank you to the staff members who showed grace, as they were clearly embarrassed by how their boss behaved. The customer service here is absolutely awful!

This is a great option for travellers looking for something that isn’t super expensive but still good. The room was clean, though some stuff was dated (rust on towel bars, lamp, etc). Staff are friendly and helpful. The Sunset Stay is a short bus ride or drive away from the downtown area so I think the place is well worth the price compared to other stays. You get air conditioning, a beautiful view, and a safe and clean room to sleep in by the end of the night.

Very decent hotel and service; clean and spacious rooms. Relatively close to airport and downtown along the main road. Easy access to beach. The area overall is not the best and not very walkable. Hotel doesn’t have a place to eat or drink, but is provided with fridge and gear to cook. Better for a few days stay and eat f you have a vehicle.
