Our room was dark The room smells damp The amenities are dated and needs Renovation Rooms not sound proof ; if you are in the downstairs room , you will hear most of what is happening in the upstairs room Safe was broken and got fixed temporarily Breakfast was fine Best “moqueca de peixe “ I’ve eaten so far. The location is great, very close to the ocean, and the place is family-friendly. The staff are attentive and genuinely try to help, although most of them speak very little English, which can make anything beyond a simple request quite difficult. Check-in can also be slow and may easily take around 30 minutes. The rooms are basic. The essential equipment is just about acceptable, while some of the non-essential furnishings and facilities are in pretty poor condition. I wouldn't expect a Western-style hotel experience here. That said, if you adjust your expectations and think of it more as a clean, simple hostel-level stay, it can actually be quite enjoyable. The place is generally clean, the location is good, and the staff do their best. Overall, I left with very mixed feelings.
