Isolating hotel experience

We stayed here for 5 days as a family of 4. The pools were phenomenal for the kids and they really enjoyed being able to walk to the beach and back to the pool. And the food at the restaurant was very good. However, this is where the positives end. The mattresses were so firm, that they actually bruised me. And the location is remote - at least 40 euros for a taxi each way. I think that if we had rented a car, it wouldn't have felt so isolating. However I did not feel confident driving on many of those roads. In general, the hotel was very disorganized. It was the one place during our stay that didn't reach out about how we were getting to it, and I tried to reach out ahead of time by email and through the hotels.com app. Naxos was beautiful, the food was good. It just felt like 5 days was way too much time to just sit around, and I didn't realize quite how remote this location was from any sort of town to walk to.

Pretty and relaxing resort but tired accomodation

Rustic resort with lovely pool area and a very friendly vibe. The superior apartment we stayed in was a bit tired, particularly the bathroom and the kitchenette which was essentially a sink, fridge and kettle but no hob or plates or cutlery so we were unable to cook anything as planned.

My family and I finished our 10 day Greece trip with 3 nights at The Naxos Summerland Resort. We were looking to relax, hit some beaches and experience the local foods. This place helped us do all of that and more! The family owned and operated resort was friendly, helpful and accommodating. The resort is rustic yet very comfortable and very clean. The staff gave us recommendations as to restaurants to eat at, beaches to go to and options to get there. Everything was perfect. I highly recommend anyone looking to experience Greece in a quiet resort away from the hustle of Naxos but close enough to still go (about 25 minutes away) and enjoy what it offers.

Lovely resort, friendly staff

An oasis in the parched landscape of Naxos. We felt very relaxed here. Staff were super-friendly and great with the kids. Two pool areas meant we didn't need to worry about our noisy, splashy kids disturbing others. Evening swimming with pool lights was ace. 10 mins walk to average beach and 10 mins to 4 different restaurants, one excellent. Summerland's restaurant served a wide ranging good breakfast and a near-perfect club sandwich for lunch. Apartment was fairly basic but clean fresh linen daily and cleaner was lovely, even finding us outside to return a missing toy! Family run place with friendly, relaxed owner living in. He runs a tight ship though - staff are kept on their toes! We'll be back one day soon for sure.

Hotel owner was very friendly and welcoming and the rooms were fantastic- well worth a visit! Perhaps the only let down was the breakfast which was a little disappointing. Other than that we highly recommend hotel!

Relaxing family holiday

The staff were amazing & couldn't help us enough & immediately made us feel welcome even with our lively young boys. The food was incredible, all home made & great value. There was a shallow pool for our 2yr old & 2 deeper pools for our 5yr old so it was perfect. We felt so relaxed which isn't always easy on a family holiday. Good value for money, however a very quiet village

This hotel is in a pretty good shape, however it may need a renovation soon. It has two large swimming pools, a lot of space, a restaurant and a very nice staff. It is good for vacations with kids - but it is quite far from the main cities of the island (it is recommended to rent a car). Few options to go out at night in Kastraki - one of them is very recommended - Kastraki Paradise restaurant on the beach, few minutes' walking from the hotel.

We really enjoyed our stay at Summerland. The staff, led by Yanis, are really friendly and make you feel very welcome. The cook is first class and although not originally intending to, we ate their 3 out of our 4 nights. The location is a little remote and a car is a must given that buses seemed a bit haphazard (in June), but Summerland more than makes up for it with its superb pools and hot tub. Our room was rustic, spacious and well equipped and the bed was really comfy.

great place away from all the tourists

Great little hotel! We were there in early September, so it was the off season and not too many other guests there. The pools were very good and the hot tub was pretty nice when it cooled down. We went to Naxos to avoid the touristy areas and we found this place very relaxing. It is far from town and has cows and goats right next door, but this felt more like the Greece I was expecting, rather than Mykonos or Santorini. The free breakfast was very good, as was the restaurant for dinner. However, you'll have to drive to find other places to eat. We really enjoyed the taverna just down the road with all local foods. We took a taxi to the hotel to find it (about 30 minutes from port) and then the next day, Yanis helped us get a great rental car delivered. The whole island really needs a rental car to just drive around. There's a nice little beach down the road from here and Plaka Beach (our favorite in Greece) wasn't too far. The room was very clean and the entire hotel staff were wonderful. My only complaint was the bed was too hard and it would have been nice to have wine glasses in our room enjoy wine on our cute little balcony.

Our first time in Naxos, was made perfect by our stay in Summerland and exceptional service provided by Jannice the owner who welcome us and up grade our room to the Honey suite........room was spotlessly, spacious and all the staff were very friendly and forthcoming. This hotel is a little jewel in the middle of nowhere few minutes from the beach IF YOU WANT TO RELAX AND BE PAMPER this is the place highly recommended. June 2012

If you are looking for a beautiful, inexpensive vacation place on Naxos, this is the place. Two pools, beach 300 meters away, friendly service, relaxed and laid back atmosphere. Good food, cocktails, wines surrounded by countryside. Fresh vegetables. Tavernas nearby. We loved it and don't understand the bad review from someone. Jannis was very helpful.

Wir hatten ein paar sehr schöne Tage im Summerland Resort. Zu Fuß ist man schnell am Strand und kann dann von den Tavernen den Sonnenuntergang genießen. Die Paradies-Taverne bietet tĂ€glich frische Fischgerichte und ist wirklich toll gelegen! Wir wĂ€ren gerne noch lĂ€nger geblieben
 Mit dem Mietwagen sind es nur wenige Minuten zu weiteren herrlichen StrĂ€nden, die nicht so ĂŒberlaufen sind wie manchecandere in der Hochsaison.

Excellente expĂ©rience dans cet hotel. Le gĂ©rant nous a accueilli chaleureusement et avec soin. Il s’est montrĂ© disponible tous le long de notre sĂ©jour en sachant nous renseigner dĂšs que besoin. L’hĂŽtel est propre et rĂ©novĂ©, les chambres sont spacieuses et la dĂ©coration est choisie avec gout. Le lit est incroyable. Il y a 2 piscines tres sympathique et assez de transats pour tous le monde. Le pdj est de qualite avec pas mal de nourriture faite maison. A savoir, il t a une supĂ©rette Ă  5 mn Ă  pied, a cote de la plage, pour satisfaire toutes vos envies. Le rapport qualitĂ© prix est imbattable sur les iles des cyclades. Profitez en vite avant que ce lieu ne soit pris d’assaut par des hordes de touristes!

un petit paradis

Superbe sĂ©jour de 3 nuits... c'est un bel endroit loin de la grande ville mais trĂšs bien situĂ© pour rayonner dans l'ile. il faut bien sur ĂȘtre motorisĂ© mais vu la grandeur de l'ile c'est obligatoire. des bungalows autour de 2 piscines et patio arborĂ©. l'accueil et le service sont impeccables...le petit dĂ©jeuner copieux... possibilitĂ© de manger le soir sur rĂ©servation... l'ile de Naxos est magnifique et Summerland holiday's resort is the place to be :-)

TrĂšs beau complexe hĂŽtelier avec deux superbes piscines. on se croirait dans un petit village. Les chambres sont spacieuses et avec terrasse. Le petit dĂ©jeuner est variĂ©. Le dĂźner sous forme de buffet est un peu cher( pas de dessert et boisson non comprises). IdĂ©al en famille. Par contre il faut ĂȘtre motorisĂ©.
