First off, I will start by saying the Bartenders, Buffet staff and Entertainment 10/10! I cannot say enough about how amazing they are. DJ Lando and Alicia made this trip for us. With that said there is a lot that could have been done better, mainly due with the “Sales Staff” Would we go back? Probably not the anxiety of the whole sales situation it to annoying. It felt like we were at our regular day jobs, scheduling meetings, going over number. Not at a resort for our honeymoon.

The room and resort were really great. However the food options and a couple rude staff members made me leave a 3 star review. Otherwise it was a decent stay. I’d recommend with caution though.

The Grounds at AZUL were well kept and i loved the direct beach access with the cabanas and lounge chairs as options. The staff were hit or miss, either they were pleasent or rude and unaccommodating, mostly at the bars, The dining options were extremely limited and honestly didn’t taste good. I had better experiences with local vendors on the road. My room door lock battery died and that was quite frustrating and inconveniencing because of course it died when i needed to check out to catch my flight. Upon checking out and despite being in a rush the push to complete a survey was disturbing. I understand Jamaica is a “take it easy” kind of country-I’ve visited several times, i think it would be helpful for the staff at AZUL to perhaps have a refresher training course on customer service and hospitality.

The food is terrible, there is nothing gourmet about this property. We were so excited to stay here, as it had listed hat making classes, cooking classes, and gourmet food. None of this is true. We were also going to get married on the property. We are so happy we didn’t do this place as a destination wedding. No classes, nothing really to do on the property, it was boring. The things that were good on the property were, the room size. We stayed in the honeymoon suite, and it was big. Our phone didn’t work. We didn’t have running water periodically throughout our stay. The staff call you at 8:30am to “check” on you, so you can’t sleep in. The restaurants close at weird times, so it felt hard to eat anywhere. We stayed at 2 other resorts on our trip, same food. Again, nothing is gourmet about Azul. The room service menu is small, and it always comes with plastic wrap over it. This resort also claims to have an amazing eco friendly program, yet coming back to the plastic wrap…over everything, I don’t get it. There was garbage on the beach, wasn’t clean. There were dirty towels in our room when we arrived. The staff are constantly harassing you when you come out of the room to buy a vacation package. Save yourself the stress, hassle and lack of food issues. We were hungry at an all inclusive cause we simply didn’t want to eat the food.

The resort was very disappointing. They cannot call themselves all inclusive when they keep running out of food and drink options. Check in was a disaster. The couple got upgraded to the different room and we ended up paying $500 just to be in the same area with them. We requested to meet with management but never provided the opportunity to express our grievances. We had only two ne bath towel the first day and lacked hand and face towels for days. Tried to order room service but that option was shut off as well. The location and the beach is great and the staff is fantastic. They need to clean house and hire new management that is more responsive to guest services and able to keep a full bar and food selections at all time!! I would not pay the high all inclusive fee here!!!

The property was beautiful and nicely kept. I waited over 24 hours upon checking in before I was able to receive washcloths. This included calls to the front desk and actually going to the front desk to ask. My room was not cleaned for 2 days , nor was my towels replaced and they only gave 3 towels total. Calls had to be made to the front desk for more towels. Concierge was very pushy upon arrival trying to enter us into raffle to win a free trip. She chased us the next day , once we weren’t interested became unprofessional. The resort ran out of food in the buffet at dinner and at breakfast.

I location was about 2 hours from the airport, the hotel was nice and but the food was not great, it was authentic to the culture. Should have to visit a country and eat the same food I get at home, the beach area was lovely, the water was nice and calm at all times, I will visit again, but I have to go to Jamfest to eat true Jamaican food.

When we arrive we asked to be put by the other couple. They put them 6 buildings down. Swim up bar out of rum multiple days. Imagine the Caribbean out of rum. Beer taps broke multiple days. Not all restaurants open. Not the foodie place that was listed. Staff always does what they can and were very friendly. Management failed.

Booked the 4 star side, was put in 3 star side. Slow season understandable, but having so many restaurants closed is crazy. Bars under prepared and unable to make easy drinks. Service by employees was great. Management should be embarrassed by the operation.

The dining staff goes above and beyond; I rate them a 5 out 5. On the other hand, room service was below average. Trying to get towels and washcloths was like having a root canal done! The staff go above and beyond with what they have to work with so management need to take time out to look a a little closer at these reviews and try to work with the staff better and make the necessary changes and upkeep of the property. Location is excellent. the ocean, beautiful, minimum seaweed, and constantly being clean by the staff also the pools. I just want to take time out to acknowledge the excellence of a few employees namely, Kaydene ( morning hostess with Tyne mostest in dining), Ayana (dining) and Shion (dining). These employee made or stay just wonderful.

Loved your resort, All staff outstanding, each and every staff member made us feel like we mattered. I personally was a little bummed with we had no robes, no slippers, no umbrella in our room. Other than these small issues, we would recommend your resort. Special shout out to our lifeguard JJ. & the two bossmen from glass bottom boat who took us out snorkeling. These three men go above and beyond their duties for the guests. Please acknowledge the three of them. Thank you to Azul beach resort and all the staff for making our vacation so memorable.
