Liked: Cleanliness, property conditions & facilities
Travelers has a lot going for it. It is small enough to feel comfortable but has many amenities you find only at larger resorts (restaurant, bar, nice pool, clean beach, plenty of beach chairs and umbrellas) . The staff were very pleasant and capable but the bar and food servers often lacked urgency. Breakfast and lunch menu prices were reasonable and offered both Jamaican options and food that appealed to international travelers. We had a deluxe room on the second floor which had two queen beds (we reserved a king) but the room was very large, with a minifridge, coffee and nice sitting area outside overlooking the courtyard. $4 cocktails and beers were a great surprise but prices doubled if you ordered top shelf or frozen drinks. The property was well maintained but the place could use some refreshing. The beach was wide but not that deep so the chairs and umbrellas were close together but the number of guests fit the available space. The water was clear and warm and very clean (no seaweed or trash). The constant flow of vendors (weed, fruit, beads, horse riding??) was annoying but they were never pushy. This property is on the far end of the seven mile Negril beach area so it was too far to walk to reach the nicer all inclusive hotels. It is closer to Rick's Cafe (fun party vibe) and Rockethouse Restaurant (fantastic meal and outdoor dining) so there were some good off property options. If I return to Jamaica and Negril again, I would come back.
