Amazing location, beautiful rooms and hotel. The staff is friendly and helpful, Fatih was the best helping us with anything and everything we needed, including our luggage. We asked him for multiple things and he continued to help in every way he could with the best attitude possible. I highly recommend Hera cave suite for your stay in cappadocia.

Not as charming as alternatives

The hotel is situated in a typical cave building, which is nice, but the location is not great especially relative to alternatives that are further up the hill. Also the public spaces within the hotel are much less charming than in other hotels and there is no dedicated restaurant. Breakfast is served in a fairly dingy basement with no windows and is very average. The coffee is extremely bad - the machine makes some kind of odd flavored instant coffee mix which is undrinkable. Overall I would suggest something higher in the hill with views and better spaces to eat and relax.

We stayed at honeymoon suite. This place is amazing! Top notch 👌. Staff are nice and the room was unbelievably beautiful and charming. Easy access, peaceful. Visually the place looks great, but the beds are not comfortable, the AC works when it wanted to, the breakfast buffet is limited based on other hotels and the kitchen staff is mean. Out of all the staff we encountered, there was just one person who was nice to us. Everyone else is always annoyed even before you approach them. The worst part was we had made an error with our arrival time. We thought we were arriving at 2:50PM, but in fact it was 2:50AM. On our way to the airport in Istanbul, I saw that there was room availability on Expedia, but I ran out of time to book it as I had to board the plane. When we arrived at Hera, the front desk said that there were rooms available but he couldn’t give them to us. We don’t know the reason why. We offered to pay, he still refused. He offered us to wait in the lobby all night. I had to sleep in the lobby. No dignity! It was humiliating!!! People were coming and going. After a late night flight, I was exhausted. We searched the surrounding area for other hotel rooms, but we were not sure how far they were as we would have to walk with all of our luggage in tow. This hotel needs training on customer care in my opinion.

Spectacular property in a great location - about 200 meters from downtown Goreme. Amazing customer service, excellent amenities, the rooms are beautiful and very clean. It’s such a cool experience to stay at this cave hotel - our room had a Turkish hamam. We’d love to go back and stay there again. Breakfast was delicious and everyone who we encountered from the staff was extremely attentive and accommodating. Fatih was so helpful and catered to all our asks.

The only reason I didn’t give them 5 stars Is because we communicated our need for 2 beds well in advance and were assured it would be provided but it was not. The beds are only full size so sharing was very uncomfortable. Otherwise the property was clean, well-maintained, and had excellent WiFi and AC. The breakfast provided by the hotel is truly excellent - it has numerous options and the quality was by the far the best we experienced in our 2 weeks in Turkey. The beds are small and very firm (IMO too firm). Because the hotel is built in caves on the side of a hill, there are many stairs some of which are a lot treacherous so I would not recommend it if you have accessibility issues. The verandas offer beautiful views of the area. The shops and restaurants in downtown Goreme are within a short walk. The hotel staff helped us book our excursions (balloon ride and jeep safari), which was very helpful and we really enjoyed them.

The location is unbeatable—just a short walk from the city center, with stunning rooftop views of hot air balloons drifting over the landscape, as well as the nearby open-air museum and other must-see attractions. The breakfast choices were outstanding, fresh, and flavorful. The staff were exceptionally accommodating, professional and friendly. So glad we stayed here at Hera Cave Suites.
