Plot Twist Adventure
The pictures that were posted online did not accurately represent this facility. This hotel was a 1960’s built model that included the original furniture. The door did not shut or lock correctly which was a direct safety issue. The bed, rugs, and linens were soiled & disgusting. The entire facility was in need up being updated. When looking at the actual room versus the online pictures, it was obvious that the pictures had been modified by AI. Overall, it was a sketchy location & hotel. I was extremely disappointed upon arrival and immediately began looking for a new location to stay during the this trip to New Braunfels. I immediately contacted management upon arrival for another hotel in the area. I did not stay around long enough to take pictures but I should have to post so people can make informed decisions.

Whereas the actual room was nice and clean the actual property feels like a ghost town. The management was rude. If any problems should arise good luck finding a solution.The pictures of the pool area are deceiving....the pool was actually dirty and when asked if thwy would send someone to clean it they mentioned they would get back to me. It was after 9 p.m. when someone sent a text that said we will clean fisrt thing in the a.m. The walk to the pool and around the areas of the property were dark and we felt unsafe for obvious reasons. Just a total dud.

This property was conveniently located between downtown New Braunfels and Gruene- not really convenient to walk but very close to drive. I stayed midweek and it was very quiet and it would’ve been nice to see some staff who might be able to give a bit of direction to a first time visitor however, online check-in and information was easy to access. The property is undergoing renovations and I definitely look forward to returning with a small group when we can make time to enjoy the property and it’s outdoor pool, clubhouse and beautiful river location.

It was located conveniently, but there were no electrical outlets by the beds. My husband requires a cpap to sleep. We got in after midnight, had to go back out to find an extension cord and all stores close at midnight. It was a rough night. Also, there were silverfish bugs in our bed. We found 3. I would not stay here again. They never restocked towels or toilet paper and we actually stayed 2 days.

Love the look of the room and the beds were so comfortable. We slept great! We stayed in on of the units facing the river with two beds in it. Beautiful view :) The staff was friendly and check in was easy. As far as cleanliness, there were a few crumbs on the desk and minor stains on the bedding so not sure how well it was cleaned. The back of the property smells sometimes (especially if there’s no breeze). Possibly due to sewage in the area? One thing we found was a challenge was that the bathroom and general room area did not have sufficient lighting for applying makeup or during nighttime when hanging out. If you’re planning to read a book at night you may want to bring an extra mini light and extension cord because the outlets are few and far from some of the beds or depending on which side of the bed you’re on. Overall, we had a very pleasant time and would love to visit again.
