Uncomfortable Hitel Setting

When I got there, I was late and laid down to sleep. Immediately noticed the room had been sit for too long - stale air. The next morning, the shower didn’t work and there was no high level soap except for bars we used to use in the 70s. I postponed the last 3 evenings based on how uncomfortable this was.

Uneasy environment

Needed a room fast for the day so booked a room here. The environment didn’t feel like the pictures display , my family, and I went to the front desk and asked to see the room before checking in while being escorted to the room some guest outside a few rooms down to where we were to be put that made us feel uneasy and we did not feel comfortable there and when we got back to the desk, I asked the lady at the desk. How do I go about refunding since I wasn’t going to be checking in she told me I had to go through hotels.com since that’s where I made the reservation I explained the situation to them. They called the place and stated that they had to get a hold of the manager. I followed up the next day with hotels.com customer support and evidently the hotel refused my request for the refund. I’m sorry, but if I or my family don’t feel safe in an environment. I am not going to stay. And for them not taking that consideration and refunding me just shows that it’s all about the money and no consideration for the customer. me being in corrections/law-enforcement you learn to read people and your surroundings. I’ve made a couple of calls since then requesting to speak to the property manager in which they weren’t available and still haven’t received a call back. I’m assumingThey have no intention of issuing my refund. Even though I never checked in. Maybe if the hotel sent some standards for their guest that are staying there this would’ve been way different review. Good luck.

So check out is at 11 o’clock and I ended up hearing a knock on the door by the time I even got up to see if I could even put on a shirt the housekeeper open the door and said oh my God I’m so sorry I thought you had checked out I did not have a shirt on so I was completely exposed. I went to the front office and let them know what had happened and I also wrote a email to the head director still haven’t got a response.

The room was not clean, had a gap in the door, and the TV was not working, It was not anything like the pictures presented on the website and on hotels.com. When asked to address this, the staff required a “walkthrough” and was not friendly in dealing with our complaint.

Rooms are not clean: noticeable stains on ceuling, walls, shower, towls and sheets. Cleaning staff does bare minimum (takes out trash). Do not expect turn service or clean sgeets if you do ask for room to ve serviced. There was an issue with bugs. Breakfast is adequate with cereal, toast, and waffles. Do not expect protien or beverages outside of coffee and milk Beds were comfortable, but old. Blankets were thin so bring an extra. AC unit was on its last legs Pool is dirty with debris Its a place to sleep if you need it and dont need much or if you dont look too closely, it's not so bad People do live here full time and there is crack head activities happening at the hotel. Hotel online pictures paint this place way nicer looking. It is older but pretty well maintained. Its location is terrible. On a busy intersection so all night you hear truck gears grinding, cars & motorcycles revving up. Also, it’s debatable if they have WiFi. The night gal said we didn’t need a password but even on her cell phone she did need one but didn’t have one so we used our cell phone’s hotspots. Morning gal was nice. Very meager continental breakfast.

I appreciate the IHOP, 7-Eleven, and Kohl's right around the corner. This fusion was unexpected. I will definitely come back again the next time I'm in town.

I was given a smoking room, never smoked a day in my life, didn't know there was such a thing as a smoking room. the smell was so bad I could barely stand to be in my room, I asked to change rooms, the front desk said I requested a smoking room... don't remember ever seeing that on the booking of this room. They said they couldn't change my reservation. The toilet needed repaired the first day. Every day the cleaning crew came in... not sure what they did other than take my soap every day and make my bed. Had to get soap to wash hands because they kept taking it. The people right beside me, lived there and were partying every night and the walls are so thin, I heard everything... couldn't at least put a room between us???? They had enough rooms to do so??? It was the worst experience I have ever had, will never stay here again!!!

Roaches, dengy dirty towels and wash clothes. Chose to stay for the claim of sound proof rooms which is soooo not the case. You could here añything and everything from the adjacent rooms and as well from outside. Will NEVER stay there again 👎👎👎👎👎

Good enough

The lady at the front desk was helpful and friendly. I'm not sure she understood everything I said but it was enough to communicate my needs. Our phone in the room didn't work, nor did our TV remote. I had to go to the front desk to get a comforter and a remote control. They don't use comforters here so I got another (warm) blanket. The bed was soft, as in we both rolled to the middle and it was difficult for us to get out of. It was nice enough for us but not a 5 star hotel. They have a pool and hot tub outside. The only thing that was upsetting were 2 work trucks parked in Handicap parking. I reported to the front desk. I'm sure they were probably long term stay customers. But taking up parking for people who need special parking. Neither truck had handicap tags. They were the only 2 spots closest to rooms. Also this is in a very busy area so you could hear sirens and traffic until 1 am. It was a safe area just busy.
