Found the right spot

Drove in from Ft Worth for a surprise birthday party. Reserved this hotel specifically because it was less than a 5 min drive to family's residence. RATE: Rate was a lil pricy but expected due to it being the weekend. No complaints. EXTERIOR APPEARANCE: Exterior of hotel had not been mowed/weeded/trimmed/edged in quite some time. Was initially worried about safety of my car and everything else. Within 30 mins of being on site, we noticed there was a crew addressing those issues and other general property maintenance. CHECK-IN: I had perishable items with me and spoke to front desk and was allowed to check in a little over an hour and a half early. Room was already cleaned and staff was beyond friendly, accommodating and informative on general hotel/breakfast information. ROOM: King suite. Very clean, comfy, and cold!! A/C worked amazingly well and kept us comfortable both day and night. My wife needed an additional blanket for warmth but the hotel had already issued out any blankets they had in surplus. We drove 5 mins to Target and bought a cheap fleece throw blanket and were all set. BREAKFAST: Variety and not bad at all for a hotel breakfast. Made a few trips back down for additional coffee and juice. STAFF: Very friendly, helpful and willing to assist with directions/recommendations. Will definitely stay here when in town to visit family.

Did not appreciate being texted at 3:30 AM the morning before my reservation or even at 8AM our last morning. Did the online check in only to have to repeat everything at the front desk. Place was dated with dirty carpets in the hall. Room was clean and for the price it was what you would expect.

Terrible Stay at Wingate by Wyndham-Stay Away

This hotel was horrible. Lets start from the outside appearance/landscape. The entire landscape was completely unkept to the worst. The breakfast was terrible. Only ate breakfast 1 morning and I was there for 4 mornings. The walls throughout the hotel were dirty as well as the elevators doors. Just filthy. The hotel room was very outdated. The walls in the hotel room, walls need to be patched and painted. The bathroom walls were filthy and by saying that, it showed the funk from previous hotel occupants. The bathtub had mildew and smelled mildewy as well. The floors hadn't been swept. The soap dispensers in the tub area were so dirty. Towels were very thin. This hotel needs new hotel towels. The air condition did not work properly and that is why the hotel had to put a stand alone fan in my room to assist the air condition to do its ob. It did not work. It was humid the entire stay. Fridge did not cool properly. I thought that since this was a Wyndham hotel, it would be very nice because I have stayed at Wyndham hotels before and this location Wingate of Wyndham was so opposite of what I had expected. I will never stay at this location or any other Wyndham again and I will not recommend either.

We came in for a milestone birthday celebration and we had a hiccup with the check in because I switch cards but nothing I haven’t done before. After we got home we notice both cards were charge the full price and when I called they told me to call back after 3 our stay was over the weekend and the charges aren’t pending they are complete. Hoping for a clean and easy resolution
