I've always been a big fan of this motel. Staying many times through the years. Most recent stay I see they switched from keys to key cards which seemed fine but odd there is no additional lock on the door. It was surprising and perhaps just the one room I was in but I would suggest that's a big need for guests to feel safer. Still would plan a visit in the future.

Had high expectations given the other very positive reviews, but two things significantly impacted my stay and I feel are important to address: 1. There is no way to lock the door from the inside of the room (no deadbolt, no chain, not even a regular lock). When I noticed this I asked the front desk as I said I was uncomfortable. She said she would look into it and ask housekeeping. They said that there was no other rooms available but that none of their rooms had this feature, and I should be assured all doors automatically locked and could only be opened from inside or with a key. I have never stayed anywhere where this was the case. 2. The power bar in the room that the TV was plugged into shorted out 3 times during the night, causing a loud noise and once, a spark. I had nothing plugged into it, and was already on edge as there was no deadbolt on door. I didn’t want to fiddle with it in the middle of the night.

We usually like the property because it offers suites so we can have family visit us. When we arrived there was absolutely no heat on. The place was freezing. We turned it on and it took about an hour and a half to warm up. We didn't check in early so the heat should have been on. Not good.

It was a decent place to stay, but you have to be careful what room you book. Some are not well looked after and even the upgraded rooms need some work. Do not trust the photos here they are only of the best highlighted areas of their rooms not an overall example.
