Like - the people at the front desk. Coco is tremendous, so much so that I have messaged the manager about her. I had a problem with noise, and she handled it both professionally and expediantly. Dislike- the hotel is showing its age, just like the town that it's in, Waterbury. Two elevators, one doesn't work, and wasn't working last year at my last stay neither. Out of a 6 day stay, the pool was closed for 5 days, and was ice cold the one day it was open. It's between a highway ( Rt 84 ) and a main road, so you will hear outdoor traffic noise.

Hilton should be embarrassed they have this as a property. Old and run down doesn't begin to describe how disgusting this property is. I could deal with outdated furnishings and even maybe a little torn carpet here and there. But the elevators seemed to be on the verge of collapse, there was water damage everywhere and with the amount of mold, I'm amazed the CT Health Department hasn't shut this place down yet. Also, the musty smell in all the hallways is only dwarfed by the sickening smell out of the ACs and vents. Stay far, far away.

Needs Some updates

The hotel itself was very good. When we went to our room, the curtains looked dirty, old and too long. Hilton has always had a wonderful reputation so maybe it’s time to upgrade the window treatments at this location.

Great price! Pool not open on Tuesday. Only one elevator working on Thursday. Long streak of rust in shower. Reported it to Coco. She came up to us next time she saw us and wanted to make sure we knew that it was being attended to. Said that Maintenance had to go to Home Depot to purchase a special tool. She did offer us another room. Appreciated her looking into it for us. Breakfast was very good except no butter Wednesday or Thursday. Our room was very clean minus the bathroom shower. Would stay there again. The staff was friendly.

The staff was great. Coco at the desk was fantastic, very friendly & professional. The property is showing age, as is Waterbury in general. On a 6 day visit, the pool was closed 4 of those days, and extremely cold when.open. Out of 2 elevators, one doesnt work, nor did it work a year ago when i stayed there.

The hotel room was clean, but it smelled a little stuffy. They could improve by adding updates like working elevators. There are two elevators, and one was working when we got there, although it worked interchangeably. By the next day, it was down.

The breakfast offerings left much to be desired. The southwest omelet was particularly unappetizing, the sausage appeared undercooked, and the homestyle potatoes were lukewarm at best. On the following day, the eggs were sitting in water, which further diminished the quality. The only redeeming option was the waffle station, which provided some consistency and reliability in an otherwise disappointing breakfast experience. Unfortunately, the condition of the room did not improve the overall stay. It was extremely outdated and in desperate need of renovation. Despite setting the thermostat to 69 degrees, the room remained uncomfortably stuffy, making it difficult to relax. Housekeeping was another area of significant concern. On the second day of our stay, I noticed the towels had not been replaced. When I approached the front desk to inquire, the staff member responded dismissively, stating, "Well, you have to tell us if you want that or need something." This was frustrating, as there had been no mention of this policy at check-in, and it seems unreasonable to expect guests to know and request basic services like fresh towels. Additionally, her tone was unnecessarily rude and dismissive. When towels were eventually brought to the room, only two were provided, despite the fact that all used items—including hand towels, washcloths, and the shower rug—had been removed. None of those were replaced, which made the situation even more frustrating.

Nightmare stay at Hampton Inn

From check in to check out, this experience haa been horrendous for my family and me. During check in, the staff were only able to see one room, when I booked two. Then tried to turn me away because they’re “sold out”. I booked two rooms in advance! Then, after pleading with the guy, he was able to “find a room” which was not the room I reserved and it had a foul odor with damages all throughout the room. Since we traveled 10 hours to get here for my mom’s graduation we took it. The next day, I and my parents got stuck in the elevator! The fire department was called and we all had to jump out while being stuck between two floors right before my mom’s graduation! Over top of that the breakfast was horrible and made me sick to my stomach. If I can give zero stars I would! I would not recommend this place to anyone!!
