A not-so hidden gem!
The idea of a green hotel is amazing! Also, after years of the Pirelli building sitting empty it’s just great to see such a wonderful use of it, especially being from the area. We have stayed here multiple times and it’s been wonderful every single time, regardless of the time of year.

This is the most beautiful hotel I have stayed in --- easily a match for a five star Four Seasons or comparable. Architecture and interior design is stunning. If you're an architecture buff, you should visit just to experience an example the best of serene minimal design. Wish the towels were a little more plush ... food wasn't bad, but I could imagine fresh orange juice and freshly baked bread would be the perfect accompaniment to the environment and the graciousness of the staff.

I loved the hotel, but I really felt like the location could be described as a place to have a hotel just because there was space to have a hotel. It's close enough to walk to a busy entertainment district, but it's not really safe to do so, especially after dark.

The front desk is a little too close to the front door, so during the winter it’s very cold waiting to check in. But other than that, the staff was great and the facility in itself is very clean. Corner water view room was beautiful and I would definitely stay again and again!

We’ve stayed here several times while visiting family in New Haven. We love the bauhaus design and decor, the comfortable rooms, easy parking and the courteous front desk staff. Also the fact that it is a passive house hotel—totally solar powered.
